Exactly. This.
TLDR: whataboutism
Did I tell anybody to stay subbed? Please try to read carefully. I simply asked you all to consider the irony of refusing to spend money on toxicity while you do it gladly every day.
It’s kind of like fostering stray animals: You can’t save 'em all, but if you can save one, it was worth it.
Look, it kind of goes like this: people will put up with a lot of BS until an alternative opens itself up. Sometimes it’s a local restaurant, a small farm, a bicycle, the chapel at the end of the street, or an indie game. It’s unreasonable to get away from all of it, so they do what they can, one step at a time, one company at a time.
No, it’s actually not like that at all. Saving a stray animal is inherently different than refusing to spend money on a toxic culture while continuing to spend money on toxic culture.
A more accurate description would be stomping on every stray you see while stomping less hard on one “because it was easy”. Does it make you morally just? No, it makes you opportunistic and lazy.
Pointing out irony does not require anybody to change their actions. It just allows them to look like ignorant, bigoted and contradictory idiots.
I pity anyone on trial with you as a juror.
Cringey af. What an insult to human intelligence this post is.
What’s more cringe is the fact you don’t actually refute any of my points. You’re lazy, just like the people I pointed out.
Or you just pirate the movies to deny the sex pest rings their cash.
It’s funny that all those child actors in the 80s and 90s warned us about them and then 2010s roll around and suddenly people realize that smearing those kids as attention seeking druggies wasn’t a good idea.
I pity the fact that you’re unaware of how most court proceedings work.
All I hear is a privileged clown who has lived most likely in a city all their life using a GAME FORUM to preach their political beliefs that are shrouded in misconceptions and blatant misinformation.
You have no idea what I know about the legal system.
Have a great day!
Surely you must know the decision of the jury doesn’t take effect until the judge enters a judgment on the decision?
It’d be more accurate to call me the judge.
So I should turn into a caveman to save the world if I really think supporting a company is wrong for hurting people? A gaming company. Makes video games.
Just think this world demands more from us and some things are essential, like driving to work, eating food, wearing clothes, having a couch to sit on.
But entertainment is entertainment man.
No, but you should hold yourself accountable for applying the same moral standards to every facet of your life. If you refuse to support blizzard for hurting people, then stop buying clothes as well.
Freedom of choice can be great - you have the freedom to stop supporting WoW because of the abuse it has caused.
But you’re still a hypocrite, no matter how hard to you try to justify your convienent morality.
A smarter and more fruitful way to initiate change would be to hold those responsible accountable. We don’t burn down the house because of a few cockroaches, and it takes a wider scope of realization to notice that every group of people has bad and good actors, no matter how nice the product they create is.
Yes. We better forgive them because the water of the ocean is getting warmer.
Since there’s climate change, and Hollywood, we should now excuse sexual harassment. I mean, there are worst problems out there, so who cares about this minor incident, ami right, op?
Maybe you should go back to whichever era you’re from. You sound like such dinosaur. LOL
Cqn i have your stuff?
I didn’t suggest we forgive anybody. In fact if you managed to read the first two paragraphs of my original post, then you would realize I suggested the opposite.
Please quote me where I said we should forgive blizzard.
The sad fact is, you’re exaggerating unnecessarily. That, or you have poor reading comprehension.
On the other hand, “everything” being corrupt in some way actually means that you SHOULD boycott a company when you feel strongly against their evils. Its not an all or nothing thing. We’re a team so each person’s efforts count.
Sure, but I haven’t had wow installed for 4 months so good luck with that
