Carries do trivialize harder content, so rather than acting like you’re more superior just because you ran harder content, perhaps we should be focusing more on rewarding players simply for time spent in the game, including LFR.
Because so long as carries exist, all you are really doing by gating them from obtaining rewards is creating a scheme in which lower-end players just pay for the carries to get the things they want rather than engaging with the game in the way you think they should.
The only way this is fixed is if Blizzard restricts the ability to sell carries, but as I’ve said, this will never happen because they gain to profit from it.
Gamers are so lame. Cool mounts should have some prestige behind them, make them feel more valuable and “I EARNED THIS”. If everyone has it, I legit don’t care about owning it/farming it.
Mounts have always been a vanity thing and should stay a vanity thing. I’m sure the cat slime is using the same rig as the vanilla saber cats :p.
Well actually you could make a point it isn’t but my class about it was long ago. Something about the atmosphere letting through all visible color but blue. It’s air for crying out loud. Why isn’t it always blue if the sky was blue?
You know, I farmed the allied races when it was required of you to grind to exalted + complete every questline in every zone associated with said allied race. I did so for both factions, mind you.
Nothing about that grind made it more valuable. It made me upset that Blizzard expected me to waste my time doing something for a vanity item that should have been available either from the very start or had something more interesting attached to unlocking it.
I personally fail to see how redoing a bunch of recycled content makes this cat mount inherently more valuable, but I mean I also failed to see how normal being so easy justifies the mount not being attached to LFR, so maybe I just have more common sense than I realize?
The real gem of this argument is how you somehow managed to build up this cat mount’s value and then simultaneously slam it down into the earth by pointing out that it’s a vanilla saber cat rig, and therefore should not matter.
It’s been a real treat watching you guys flounder about with your arguments.
My current community group is asking for 265 ilevel, yes it’s totally doable, but as it stands now, I can barely play. LFR would have been a great way for me to get the slime kitty while winding down until DF.
The deathwing mount, as stated above, was given via lfr as was the core hound—what’s the difference w slime kitty?
slime kitten is not obtainable in a couple of hours…it has to be done over the course of a patch - it’s functioning more like AOTC than those events, since it’s organized group content.
plus the obsidian worldbreaker was not even challenging, it was small portions of those encounters…if you had to do the entire ragnaros encounter in firelands, there’s no way LFR’ers would be able to kill him.
The whole bad time managment comment is usually said by people that are completely out of touch with reality and treat WoW like a 2nd job.
They can’t even begin to fathom with their tiny brain that some people in the real world have responsibilities that prevent them fully enjoying their hobbie.
I and my friends are fortunate enough to have enough free time/energy to put way too many hours into WoW but we are not ignorant enough to assume that everyone is as fortunate as us.
Imagine to think that if you can’t do harder than afk content you doesn’t matter to company who trying to push you to do actual game designed activity. Do I not matter to Blizz cause I can’t do rated PvP content and get vicious mounts? Do I not matter to Blizzard cause I can’t do Mythic Raids content and get mythic mount from there? DO I not matter to Blizzard cause I can’t handle all mage tower mechanics on my alts and can’t get the book mount?
No. They care about me being able to overcome the basics of their game. You literally asking to free stuff just cause you log in and log out.
LFR isn’t hard it’s not even engaging. It’s literally staying in one-two places and mashing random buttons while one or two mythic+ raiders finishing job for you cause their damage is 1000% better than any of LFR player.
TEH LUUUUUULZ on you people. What is wrong with this generation?
My guy, you are complaining as id LFR is the hardest thing ever. You could have easily gear up to be on par with LFR within a week or less, and then LFR is a piece of cake.
You know, I was upset when they took out the heroic titles for doing heroic raiding…I think it stopped in WOD if I remember correctly…im glad they are putting something there as a reward for people who at least can and do raid normal…rewards for doing content harder than LFR is not a bad thing imo…what is bad is this sense of entitlement you and others have because you logged in…I love how you assume that Blizz doesn’t like you and are singling you out for punishment because you raid LFR lol…geezus
Reward is there for people who CAN commit and want to do it…nothing wrong with that my dude…
Because they are actually listening to people and making this game better…giving out mounts left and right for doing easy content is not rewarding nor was it unique…they had to be fixed, they are going in the right direction…
