what? No, I don’t care about the feelings of people who gimp themselves, then complain about being gimped.
In my experience about half of your average LFR group is actually putting in effort, and within that are people that likely don’t know their rotation or how to use damage / healing cooldowns. The other half of the group are AFK to various degrees. Some dying or jumping immediately and some autoattacking at best.
I think content that is designed around never being able to lose (determination) should get minimal rewards.
I think it’s pretty lame that they made it seem like it would be available through LFR when it isn’t. I would have no problem with them adding the cat mount to LFR… it’s literally one mount.
But at the same time it’s genuinely a single mount out of ~100 mounts available in Shadowlands (90%+ are not from raids). Not sure why the open world / LFR crew is so fixated on this outside of the stupid poor communication from Blizzard.
Mainly because its listed as “any difficulty” ingame currently and has been for months. Kaivax’ post stating LFR doesnt reward it then ignited the fire and started this poopshow.
That and the slime kitty was one of the poll mounts. Only the caterpillar and the Nerubian one are missing.
I’d like to know why players don’t want to raid right now, I hear alot of “I don’t have time”, but I wonder if that’s the precise reason. For me personally, I cannot commit to a raid team due to my unpredictable work schedule, I have plenty of time when I do play however. I have a feeling many others are in the same boat.
Agreed.
It was bad communication from Blizzard, but of all the people crying about ‘no content for casuals’ I’ll bet 1% or less have farmed lets say half the mounts available in the open world in Shadowlands.
Probably even less people than that have completed the meta Shadowlands achievement (Back from Beyond) for the “Veilstrider” title and the gorger mount.
There’s absolute boatloads of mounts to farm and casual content to grind out, but people are highly fixated on this issue. There are a lot of people on forums that like to complain about the imaginary elitists that secretly control Blizzard and keep them down.
Maybe a friendship cat raid will pop up like the friendship moose raid in WOD
Just because youre interested in one thing doesnt mean you have to be interested in another. I have the Veilstrider title but only out of principle and not because i was into any of the requirement in particular. Especially the covenant stuff can kiss my butt.
Also the mounts and title you mentioned have one thing in common: They stay even after Dragonflight is released.
Normal easier and faster than LFR.
If you cannot commit an hour of your day to do the raid, you are just not worth anyones time.
In the time it took you to compose this post, you could have joined and group and cleared the first boss.
Because raiding is no longer necessary to get BiS gear.
M+ killed raiding.
The M+ community wants a word with you. As in what you just said is wrong on literally every level imaginable.
I think raiding is being avoided for other reasons and I don’t think it has anything to do with M+.
If anything then, this is a pretty good opportunity for people who never set foot into Normal Raid to give it a chance. I mean it’s definitely been the ‘main’ feature of WoW since Vanilla and it would be a shame for people to not ever experience it for whatever reason.
Casual guilds are out there and they have flexible attendance rules and requirements to join the raid. There’s always a few that will have raid times which you could at least make it to once in a while.
There is a stark difference between experiencing a raid with your guild versus joining a random pug from the queue, but even then I’ve met some friendly pugs and especially in the first few weeks of a patch there are a ton of normal / prog groups working their way through.
Nah, he definitely has a point.
Far fewer people cleared Sepulcher than SOD because tier sets were available without raiding at all. If tier sets are raid exclusive then the entire M+ population would be in raid farming it out.
Catalyst is awesome from a raider and M+ perspective, but it will result in fewer people farming the raid - especially after the first couple weeks.
I don’t think so.
People should dip into raiding out of their own accord and not because they felt “forced” (emphasize on the quotation marks). Someone that enters said content because he feels forced to do so will in the long run be a burden.
The forced part applies here again. Someone that has no real interest in the first place and now also applies to a guild he doesnt want to be in, in the first place? Maybe because hes in another guild already that does other stuff etc or whatever. Ye thats a recipy for disaster.
You said it, in the beginning. And while those groups will also exist for when S4 goes live without a doubt the majority of it will be “link curve”
No. You can fight them in a sort of timewalking mode where it scales you down to the gear / level you had back when it was current so the difficulty stays almost exactly as it was.
Excellent rebuttal. Truly an exemplary member of the CC. LOL.
He doesnt. BiS gear isnt achievable without raids. At all. And it isnt just the tier sets.
You mean the raid that was overtuned like nothing before and admitted to be done so got cleared by less guilds than that joke of a raid called Sepulcher? Colour me shocked /s.
The M+ pushers are already doing it because Raid Tier from Dreadlords and Rygelon is higher than the M+ counterpart alone. Next to other superior pieces.
Just link the uncompleted achievement and 98% of the time they won’t even notice.
I started playing wow in shadowlands and got my first AOTC this way in 9.0 in a pug and used the log to apply to a mythic guild and got CE the next tier.
Then you were lucky. You also have groups that check your logs to root out trash logs or said person being boosted.
Gz. So?
