Yes, there are more threads on these forums complaining about this than celebrating it, but that is explained by the fact that people upset by something will always be louder than those who are satisfied.
You cannot fairly extrapolate that into a “very clear” indication of the preferences of the majority of the community. You can continue to argue your point, but you have to stop assuming your premise that this is an unpopular policy among the majority. You have no credible evidence for that.

I mean people want you to suffer like they do at the hands of RNG. Anti-GDKP is such a safe stance that so many people take without even thinking it through. I suffered so you need to suffer.
In truth, if RMT isn’t involved, GDKP is a great and very fair system. Blizz needs to concentrate on banning Real Money Traders. Banning GDKP just sounds like they are virtue signaling to the masses who think if we eliminate GDKP then gold buying will magically disappear.
I’ve got news for you, people are going to want BoE’s like Gutripper. RMT isn’t going anywhere because of this decision.

GDKP is banned and 95% over players lovei it.

Gonna be honest with you, I am unaware of which direction this post is coming from.
I know what GDKP are, it’s only tangentially related to DKP via a clever naming scheme but functions much differently.
I am not your legal professor or teacher and I am not here to educate you on those matters. Simply put, they need to have harsh/strict punishment on abusers of the ToS and Blizzard needs to do their job making the game they made safe and healthy for all players. Likely a better enforcement that they lack.
Have you ever been to a GDKP?
GDKP is a loot system that allows you to spend and earn gold for raiding.
You use the gold for purchasing items which is then split between the raid.
Then the raid goes home, comes back the next lockout and does it again (using the same gold that was earned in the previous raid)
I know, hard to comprehend.
Its not like GKP players are running around creating gold out of thin air.
Gold buyers are, yes. then ban RMT.
not everyone who uses GDKP is a gold buyer.
Its a loot system that works for people who can’t commit to raid times on a schedule.

its literally the same thing only gold stands in for points… they are the same except you can earn “points” outside raid by farming or buying gold
dont get me wrong its a terrible system, but it is similar to how DKP works, the only difference is how you aquire your “points”

Have you ever treid playing games for fun? Have you ever helped anyone in game if it didn’t mean something for you? have you ever ran a guildy through sfk for a rune? ever farm ashenvale for a lock or pally freind with nothing in return? Do you help firends with enchants with no charge? probably not.

I agree with banning the bad apples who abuse the RMT system and buy gold.
Blizzard needs a better system for tracking gold buyers and sellers.
The thing is they have resources but refuse to do anything.

You know something real funny. Not only is gdkp banned, bis is locked behind SOLO WPVP, or is crafted. Not only is gdkp gone, theyre taking loot out of pve kekw.
That’s personal opinion being presented as fact. Meanwhile the only facts we can actually point to surrounding why it’s being banned, is blizzards statements on the matter. Which isn’t how you’ve described the decision.
