It is a problem when when people join ms>os raids specifically to take advantage of the others carrying them. I do this on my fresh toons that have no business being in the raid. And no, I dont feel it is wrong because thats how ms>os raids work.
The difference now is I’ll stop raiding entirely on toons when they are geared.

Just like it seems to be wrong to attack the person instead of the idea…unless you do it. Then it’s fine and justified.
Im not joining a MS>OS raid unless I have something to gain from doing it. And the only time thats true is when im undergeared. Focus on the player if you want, but thats the game.

and if people wish to start/join those groups they are free to.
that will not hurt the economy or promote botting, which is everyone’s main concern, and if it bothers you there will be other groups without a res on x item, or you can join a guild and run with them

Thank you for being honest enough to admit that. now I wonder if you’re honest enough to admit that you take umbrage with other people doing the same thing you are.
I could also point out the fact people not running old content after our outgearing it isn’t a new issue. I could also point out how FF14 is able to cycle players into their older content better through some systems. But to keep it in the realm of WoW, I’ll instead point out that blizzard HAS been trying to fix this problem for several expansions. One example is weekly raid bosses for emblems. Which turned into emblem quest groups.
But pretending tis a problem that’s not being actively worked on is bad faith augmentation.
