That’s not this argument though.
This is not the bike riders just enjoying riding their bike. This is the bike riders saying they like riding their bike because it’s not loud, polluting, filled with rude people that bump into you and is not generally an overall depressing experience for everyone, including the train riders.
This is not “there’s a train, there’s a bike, pick the one you like”.
This is “there’s a train that will bring down the surrounding area and there’s a bike that won’t do that.”

They already said they don’t have the metrics for this change… They announced it and wanted to gauge player feedback. They have their own personal reasons and nothing more. Quit feeding the trolls guys.

At least attribute your claim to some method of gathering information instead of just saying “Blizz do magic hehe”
So far the evidence we have is that they have not gathered any information about community LFD desire, considering the only data we have is community driven and it shows that the majority want LFD.
this is no different from the debate on flying being good or bad for the game. personally, i believe it takes a lot from the game and never should’ve been introduced. sure, it makes things easier; that’s why it’s a luxury and not a necessity. the game goes on as intended when there’s no flying. same as the lfd feature.
people will use it if it’s there- that’s not the issue. the issue is what it does to the actual game. servers and communities began to lose its identity when lfd and cross realms opened. all that respect (or lack there of) you earned is just thrown out the window when you no longer need to talk to others about running a group event. same thing with flying can be argued- wpvp was enjoyable until everyone had flight. you saw what’s coming, as opposed to getting divebombed on by a group of gankers.
to be honest, they just as soon let it fly though. back then were different times and a different type of player. now, it’s all about zooming and trolling.

And this is all feedback …
They asked for discussion not a petition and boycott. Honestly I don’t think it’s a done deal. I think they canvassed it with the community first precisely because it’s not a done deal. But you won’t win them over with “gimme what I want else the subscription gets it”. That’s not the “discussion” they were asking for.
Edit: Just rereading context and you weren’t saying that - so it doesn’t apply to you. I’ll keep the comment up though because it is still pertinent.
I think a key component they’re probably interested in is the communities commitment to xrealm LFD vs a server locked solution. I know I would be if I were a dev.

If you don’t like it, don’t use it.

Never said the thread wasn’t feedback. This was directed at the guy saying hur dur blizzard knows everything, and the other guy saying no they dont. and the back and forth. Shanxi is a known troll and hes being fed.
Was simply pointing out that even blizzard said they don’t have the numbers to say 1 way or the other.

I agree. And arguing “but you don’t have to play like that” is just as bad as the “don’t like it, don’t use it” argument.

Surely, you can’t be serious. Assuming you’re over the age of 30 or even 25, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out what’s wrong with this whole statement of “if you don’t like it, don’t use it”.
Either players these days really are children, or they aren’t very smart. And this has 0 to do with pro or anti-LFD. This entire attitude stinks.

My definitions of #nochanges vs #somechanges only seems self serving because i don’t hypocritically apply them :).
As that relates to LFD, I don’t particularly care if it gets added or not, what I do care is that the problems it addresses get addressed and if blizzard actually has a better solution now that’s fine. Because whatever some people believe LFD did address actual issues.

Letting players make their own decision about whether or not they want to use an optional game feature is childish?

Lol. You do you man/ma’am.

At this point I just assume you are purposely misunderstanding the whole point.

Multiple new threads*
Fixed it for you lol.
Zipzo, the “just wait until Wrath” champion, now championing removal of features that were originally in wrath, because they don’t align with their “Spirit of Classic.”

I’m sorry did I miss where they said they are removing dual spec?
I don’t feel that flying is a fair comparison at all. Once everyone’s out flying in the world, you can’t really expect it to not affect you. People can drop out of the sky and gank you, for example, or use their flying mounts/flight form to beat you to mining/herbing nodes.
On the other hand, instances are completely segregated and if you’re playing with your friends and guildies anyway, as the anti-LFD crowd always tell us to do, then how other people are queueing for their dungeons has literally zero effect on you.

Am I wrong that you constantly protested adding features in TBC, and that you’ve now made multiple threads in favor of removing/changing features (DF & Dual Spec) from Wrath? You’ve said multiple times that people should “Just wait until Wrath.” I remember, also we can just go back that far and see them.
Remove Death Knights from LKClassic.
Me not rolling a Death Knight alt is not acceptable; nobody should have access to DKs.
There, I just saved the expansion.
You are wrong, yes.
I didn’t protest anything.
I was simply matter-of-fact about dual spec having no chance of getting in (accompanied with arguments for why I wouldn’t want it in, even if it did have a chance).
There were plenty of changes made in TBC that I found reasonable and accepted.
You can’t “protest” something that has no chance of happening anyway.
Blizzard made a few great changes to TBCC- they increased the honour gain for the world PvP quests in HFP and Terokkar.
That has been really fun, everyone running around doing those. I chat to people, duel etc.
