"If you don't like it, don't use it"

An old quote about an old game, which is what Classic is supposed to be a recreation of. Whatever the game turned into from Cata on is irrelevant. WotLK is supposed to be a recreation of what it was from 2008-2010. This isn’t Season of Mastery where changes are deliberately made in order to have a different experience. I, and many others, don’t want a different experience. We want the same experience. If you don’t like WotLK for what it was, then perhaps it isn’t the game for you.

Agreed. If people can’t spam LFD for extra rewards, I have no problem.

That’s how it should be tbh.

I wish they would do that, stop gating me on my gear.

You’re not gated from gear because the dungeons themselves still drop badges. All I’m saying is I don’t think LFD should grant any EXTRA rewards.

Except for having extra reward to entice tanks and healers to queue. I can agree with that.

I’ll tell you what changed: The devs then had foresight, while the devs today only have hindsight. The devs today can only look back and try to rebuild it the way they remember it, through their rose-tinted glasses.

As opposed to “Clear every raid possible each week or fall behind.”

And what if the daily heroic is occulus and people decide nope to out and not do the daily for that day?

Even if you ran heroics until you bought everything available from the vendor, that’s 60-80 emblems of heroism per tier piece, and 45-60 more per non-tier item. You still wouldn’t be caught up to raiders immediately. You can’t get the 25-man raid loot from vendors, and raiders get emblems from each boss. You can’t abuse RDF hard enough to beat out raiders, only keep up one step behind raiders.

From 10 and 25 man.

Exactly! I remember back in the day seeing DKs in full T7 so early on, because they ran all the heroics and did both 10 and 25 Naxx. The combination of token drops and buying tier tokens from the vendor made it so fast. Even I had my set pretty quick, and I hardly raid. That was even before DF!

Attempting to sound like you have some intellect up there and then quoting some /pol/ tier wiki article is hilarious.

If you don’t like it, don’t use it.

Something about quoting a link about informal ad hominem fallacy while making a formal one is funny in a very ironic way.

how is this thread nearly 1k long?

Because when it comes to back and forth fighting on a contentious topic.

I don’t really have a choice friend, it’s not in the game.

Nobody can use it

The game isnt even in the game.

Then why are you telling me not to use something that doesn’t exist :expressionless:

If that’s true, and I think it is, there’s only one reason why. The vast majority of players will run away from the lfg channel like running from a garbage dump and run to the RDF. People keep saying the majority want the RDF removed from the game. If that was true adding it wouldn’t matter, just as adding the lfg tool didn’t matter. because few would use it. Just admit a few truths. Most people hate the lfg channel. If RDF was added most people would abandon the lfg channel in droves. I will affect the few who don’t want to use the RDF because by far the vast majority wants it and will use it. So You want to take that option away from the vast majority of players to force them to play like you do.

to force them to play like you do.

That would only be true if I was advocating for LFD somehow putting you in a dungeon that dropped no loot. All I’m saying is I don’t think LFD should grant any additional rewards outside of what the dungeons themselves granted. It’s a group forming tool so just form the groups.

I want it to be like BG queues. You queue up for BG. You run up to the BG entrance. Same 3 marks for winning. I would mot be “forcing everyone to run to the BG” by saying, I want it to be the same 3 marks for winning either way you get to the BG.

That would be fine with me, the extra rewards are minor, so I still think you’d have almost no one to pug with using the lfg channel. The lfg channel sucks so bad that even without any rewards people would run from it like the stinking garbage dump it is right to the RDF.

It rewards badges as an incentive to que for the dungeon.

It also offers last tiers badges as a catch up for new players.

In both situations those are good things.

Couldn’t Blizz just make a npc that has a daily quest which rewards the badges etc. That way the members of a preformed group can get their rewards.

It could also be a daily you have to pick up and complete regardless of whether you use the LFD or not.
