I personally don’t care for rated content and I don’t think I should get rated gear for free, I got up to 1400 and just quit doing it because I don’t have the inclination to keep trying to grind it out.
I just think there ought to be a place where mostly casual BGer’s can go play on a relatively even playing field. It isn’t a whole lot of fun for people that only like random BG to face up to a 26 item level gear gap. Not saying give everyone the same gear, accomplishments should be be rewarded for sure.
One thing they could do is just put a ilvl cap on randoms of like 200 except for pvp weapons. That way rated players would still have an advantage, but random BG players would at least feel like they have a fighting chance to win. Rated players would still have their gear in rated and world pvp. Doesn’t have to be this suggestion, but surely there must be some middle ground here.
The gear system itself does seem a bit backwards to me. Why is it upgrade with honor for anyways? Why not buy with honor and upgrade to 200 with honor and then upgrade with conquest after that?
