First of all, I’m not a “booster”. That’s a very primitive and hateful word, we prefer the term “coaches” as we take a lot of pride in seeing our clients get better every bracket we coach them to.
And secondly, I don’t need the approval of anyone because I’m simply speaking the truth.
The gear system is fine, nothing has to be changed
Rankoneboost: Thanks Blizzard for tripling time sink for alt to get their 197 pvp gears that aren’t even competitive and get destroyed by 40K HPs in the process!
You are slipping personas again. R1B is the alt troll that believes that gear should only come from arena and not RBGs since RBGs are a joke that no one takes seriously.
Also, I’m wondering how many of the above posters are the same person talking to themselves.
If you are watching and reviewing video gameplay of a person playing and giving them tips then you are coaching. If you are playing with the person then you are boosting. It’s pretty simple actually.
Not really. You can play with someone with the sole purpose of teaching them to play better. Boosting wouldn’t be to teach but to simply get someone to a specific rating.
By saying coaching is limited to review is incorrect.
Can you give me an example of a sport that has the coach playing with the person they are coaching with rating/competitive progression on the line?
A coach might play with the person they are coaching in a practice setting but not in a competitive match. If the “coach” wants to help someone by playing with them they could use arena skirmishes to do that.
But, that isn’t what happens is it? Because the actual intent is to get the person they are “coaching” rating. People that are boosting who call what they are doing “coaching” are moral cowards trying to hide behind a word.
There is no real situation to play this game like other sports. Your asking for comparison that is impossible.
The fact you think rating is super competitive is crazy. Not around the levels a coach will typically be playing at.
But for example I’ve seen xaryu play with a ton of different rogues to teach them rogue mage game play. Naturally the player gained rating as the coaching taught player more and more.
False narrative because you assume the coaching is only done during stream sessions. Maybe now but not always.
These sessions did not benefit his stream so limiting it to that narrative is false. Maybe now he does but I think he’s far more casual with things based on my observations at least.
