Literally the only reason I ever set foot in a rated BG is because I thought the plate transmog was cool. I YOLO no voiced my way to 1800 with randos from LFG. Of course I have a negative win rate. If I put even an ounce of effort in - or joined Discord - I’m sure 2100 would be a breeze as well.
The fact that you pretend it’s hard to get rating in this game is hilarious.
And you’re right - PvP isn’t about gear. It shouldn’t be about gear. It should be about having fun. Some people don’t care about “self improvement” in a video game. They just want to have fun. The current system is not fun for them, which is why your argument for this gearing system is complete nonsense.
No, I blieve that this system is fine but people like you who don’t want to improve or get better but just want to play for fashion reasons should NOT be allowed to get any high iLevel gear at all.
I’m completely against RBGs giving gear for any reason for exactly the reason you said:
RBGs take zero skill or talent to be good at, the fact that you have that gear and go to randoms to dunk on low iLevel players shows everything I need to know.
How about you go try using the things you learned and picked up to do Arena? You do realize there’s other forms of PvP besides just random BGs/RBGs right?
Wow, first time looking at the PvP forums, are they always this much of a trip? In less than 30 minutes I’ve been introduced to a massive sockpuppet conspiracy theory where apparently users are using multiple accounts to create artificial discourse about contentious PvP topics and people constantly make references to things and events that I have no clue about. It’s like these forums have their own lore and everything. Where’s the World of Warcraft: Chronicle PvP Forum Special Edition when you need it?
Get the epic collector’s edition, and you get a toxic sludge mount and a level 10 baby troll pet.
To the point… who knows… there’s at least one confirmed that uses multiple accounts here. Not sure I would say it’s a conspiracy like a few folks are saying. Probably not far from it, either though.
I am currently investigating this socketpuppet issue. It seems to stem from the twink community that wants to continue to spread false information to get Blizzard to reverse their decision of separate brackets (xp on/xp off).
Also be mindful when you have a difference of opinion. If you don’t jump on the bandwagon you will a lot of the time be labelled as a ‘troll’.
