Other the 8.3. Bfa release better then SL release… I have already quit wow. I just have sub left. I went to FF14 but I rather go play dead mmo like Rift online then SL.

I’m curious what you like better about FF14. I’ve started playing it myself…I kinda like it but having a hard time getting into the story/setting…not really into the anime vibe

The first run through of the campaign is fun, as well as getting into your first covenant.
Once you have done a little bit of welfare POTD and covenant grinding you realize that this xpac is the biggest grindfest this company has ever unleashed.
Its like Perfect World Entertainment bought WoW when no one was looking. The rewards are terrible for everything. Grinding, grinding and more grinding is all this xpac has to show for the next few years.
It’s bloody terrible and all the apologists who are saying its not WoW, its us are full of it.

I played another MMO before WoW. I saw it change gradually so that I liked it less. I’ve watched WoW change too. I feel lucky if even 35% of an expansion is fun for me. I just play that 35%.
If it dropped (for you) to 5% in SL, then don’t play SL. And tell Blizzard what you (and players like you) dislike. That matters. That’s feedback.
But that doesn’t mean WoW is bad or SL is bad or Blizzard is bad. You aren’t the universe. “Bad for you” isn’t “bad”. The game wasn’t designed for you. Maybe Blizzard is very good at achieving their new target, but their new target is something you hate. That happens. in fact, it happens everywhere that products are sold.

Of course SL is better than BFA. You can only go up front that garbage heap. However, SL is still literal garbage.
Anyways, seeing the next quarterly meeting and how so many already unsubbed is going to be glorious.

Are you really gonna set the bar at “It is better than BFA so stop complaining?” because BFA was absolute garbage. It would’ve truly been difficult for them to release anything WORSE than bfa. That bar is far too low to consider the game good again. Remove all the BS and let us play alts more easily like we could in every expansion prior to legion.

It’s the same systems they are just moved to different locations and/or called something different. It’s the same.
The problem is the developers. They’re using the same systems over and over. WoW is almost a mirror of Diablo. They need to come up with something new, not just a rework of the same things.

So far – being the casual solo quester-scrub that I am – I’ve not yet seen a single thing about Shadowlands that I think is better than Battle For Azeroth. From my POV, BFA was considerably better. At least in BFA I wasn’t chained to a rail, forbidden to go to other zones until I’d finished all the quest lines for the zone I’m in now 
So, yea, the artwork in Bastion is pretty. Not prettier than BFA, but at least it’s decent art with a nice theme to it. So, there, I said something nice about SL. I’ll post again if I can think of something else that I like, but I kinda doubt it. & no, I’ve not gotten much further than Bastion, because I’m still stuck in Maldraxxus – one of the ugliest zones I’ve ever seen, where I’m stuck questing to help creatures about which I couldn’t care less, for a story I’m not feeling, & I can’t bring myself to log in to play my beloved Gnome Mage at all.
But I definitely do still like WoW. There are acres of zones I can quest in, & lots of servers on which I still don’t have characters, & Classic is proving to be a nice, slow, relaxed MMO that I can retreat to when retail just doesn’t cut it, so despite the OP’s ludicrous “you either like SL or you don’t like WoW so just leave” nonsense, I’m going to stay awhile

But just think of all the fun you can have playing something else.
I’m about to dust of my PS4, haven’t played anything on it for at least half a year, and I have a decent library of games I’ve not yet completed on it. Plus, more and more games are dropping in price for it. Man, I kinda miss playing anything else because of the insane amount of time I’ve had to put into SL.

That is a very very low bar to set.
I have money, a decent amount of it… when I am satisfied with the game/franchise I like to spend that money on the game and its supplemental merchandise, I think blizzard can deal with my tantrums/speaking my mind if that want to trade for my money.
I think you are right though, I like the idea of wow more than the current implementation. I have nostalgia to WC3 where Grom slew manaroth, where orcs were savage nobles and not generic evil. Where the game was more adventure based and less cosmically themed. Where alliance were arrogant racists that endorsed slavery, genocide and political corruption/self interesting and greed.
I think thats the biggest thing that has been lost in todays wow storytelling… alliance always used to be comprised of selfserving arrogant archetypes, where as horde used to be about the betterment of the faction and greatness/grandeur was gained by furthering the hordes aims not the individuals.
List them, I’ll give them a shot, none I have a connection with as much as wow but modern wow frustrates me because of its design.
I think everyone has just grown used to the gating gimmicks, I remember when content was released and completable based on the competency/dedication of the player… you want to go grind out max rep in 3-4 days ok go for it… I want to play based on my choice of schedule not on blizzards time gated… yes there should be a safety.
