Ya’ll need to stop with this anti-premade narrative in this discussion, you just look bad.
You have trust issues if you think they set themselves up to fall.
Don’t see how trying to help everyone out and keep things healthy is sowing getting stabbed in the back, but alright dude, keep up that toxic mentality.
Depends on your server, but it’s about honor earned and not rank, unless you’d like to stack with, at which point that’s only going to inform where you stack.
You’ll be fine to just play and they will talk to you very likely if you get close.
Na they just did it to be a-holes cuz they wanted to leapfrog people. They ended up losing that honor war and messaged all the top players asking for peace this week since they didn’t wanna grind 12 hours a day for 7 days straight again lol. This week the cap is back to 800k for b14
Im against bad premades - Im for premades that upholds the games integrity and promotes sportsmanship. Im against exclusive elitist premades that disenfranchises, alientate and oppresses. Im for open, inclusive premades that empowers and enriches the players.
I disagree but assuming youre right it cant look any worse than a group that bends over half the playerbase comes in to whine about getting bent over by the system they designed and implemented.
But they did. They naively believed they could control everything and everyone for their own benefit.
Im starting to think you guys don’t know what “everyone” means. You guys like to play with fire then cry when you get burned. Until the lesson of “hot stove = burned hand” let the schooling continue.
It’s not so much anti premade as opposed to the idea I’m hearing from a lot of people who care about brackets that people should only be allowed to play the game their way.
Well, what premade are you for because you seem to be against any premade that farms pugs which is all of them. Are you only a fan of the premades full of people who are done ranking that are only running wargames or something?
Like I said earlier, there are only 2 types of people who don’t like the idea of keeping honor-caps reasonable and as healthy as possible. Those who have taken advantage of the system for personal-gain…and those who have never engaged with it and don’t actually understand it.
The hard part about explaining it to someone that has never engaged with it, but still has an opinion on the subject is…they didn’t reason their way into that opinion, and therefor cannot be reasoned their way out of it.
People fail to mention that the rankers are also botting level 1 characters (sometimes thousands or tens of thousands per week) to artificially increase the brackets and give themselves free loot.
These are hardly benign groups by any traditional sense of game development, they’re corrupting the entire server pvp system and harassing people who don’t comply.
You have to be level 10 to be worth honor or to gain honor firstly. Secondly, yes…it is done. But not in the thousands, and most certainly not in the tens-of-thousands. Thirdly, it has literally no negatives…it helps everyone who has gotten 16 or more HKs in a week, adding more people into the Honor Pool from the bottom only helps everyone else who is not at the literal bottom too.
Pool partying is a thing, but it’s not done by bots with thousands of characters. It’s a small group that makes a bunch of lvl1 alts to farm kills to increase the pool size, which does literally help everyone. Other than their own time, it literally hurts nobody and helps more people rank faster.
You can be an all conquering premade without making pugs hate themselves for queuing. For example, there was an alliance premade (from bigglesworth I think) that I ran into several times in AB over the course of a few weeks.
They would go for the 5 cap but they wouldn’t push into the starting area GY. They would sit farm and would only kill horde that were dumb enough to run right out and into them. If the horde broke for any other node (gm/lm) they would rotate to that node instead of trying to keep us pinned.
In the games they couldn’t get the 5 cap, they would just keep pressure on the one node we could hold which let us get some hks and a little rep. In other words, they let us play the game as best we could and they didn’t have /spit or /lol macro’d to every ability like some other premades.
Still a one sided loss but at least conducted themselves with a modicum of class and didn’t try to go above and beyond to humiliate their opponent.
Scummy breakers LOVE to bring up pool parties. It’s another like clockwork defense.
If I want to do a few WSG games with my level 19 to boost the pool size on my server there is nothing wrong with that. If I want to kill a few alliance who have invaded Durotar while on my lowbie there is nothing wrong with that. no botting required.
