That’s fine. Other people who are on the fence can read my explanation and see what I’m saying. I’m not the one being unreasonable either then.
You admitted you will go after guilds if they don’t take your side and kick the guy. Kick the guy and be done with it. Don’t be so obsessed with a video game that you try to stalk people and ruin their game.
Nobody on the fence would side with you. The only people that have sided with you are equally terrible people that think it’s perfectly okay to harass others. You’re doing a great job at pushing people away from your side.
There’s a difference between harassment and blacklisting. If I do something that pisses off most of the server, after being asked to stop and I choose not to stop, there are social consequences for that action.
I encourage you to report any behavior you feel is harassment to blizzard.
There actually are rules against ninja looting and blizzard will enforce them in certain situations.
And while you’re more than welcome to blacklist someone for any reason you want, when you take that to the level of repeatedly whispering them and getting others to do so that is certainly harassment.
If you post “specific” loot rules and don’t follow them sure. If you just ninja something there isn’t.
I’m not really here to argue semantics though. Most of the people who bracket break are slime. We’ve had to deal with idiots on our server and every single time it’s a botter or someone account sharing. Not once has someone attempted to break brackets that wasn’t one or the other.
And your personal experience with bracket breakers is irrelevant to the larger discussion that there is no official bracket and that the honor system was designed to be a competive grind against your own faction.
That’s your opinion.
It was designed around people teaming and grinding together to make the most efficient honor to beat everyone else. The servers are now massive in size so there is more then just 1 team ranking. It makes sense that they would work together.
People breaking only break because caps get set low so people can actually have 8 hours of sleep a night. It has nothing to do with the solo guy deserving it more because he can break caps. He’s only breaking caps because it’s artificially set low. I promise you rankers reach out to people who are potentially breaking and try to help them get set up with the system. If they don’t then they get black listed by every guild on the server and can no longer premade. That’s what you deserve for being a social outcast with a “me me me” attitude.
99/100 times if someone is capable of breaking 600-700k honor in a week solo they are botting anyways.
How is describing how the honor system works my opinion?
Now that’s an opinion.
Up until r10 I got all my rewards by pugging/wpvp and so did the first grand marshal on my server. Difference was he pugged av to r14 and I pugged wsg to get a tabard before anyone wanted to step foot in that bg. Rewards is hardly the reason why I bg, I just enjoy killing horde 10x more than farming gold or chasing parses. If I was concerned with rewards I would have gotten r12 in av and never qued again.
Suddenly once av was no longer the meta, I get poached by players who want to get r14 and want me in their wsg group. I didn’t ninja loot anybody they brought me into their inner circle out of self interest and failed to mention all the things I would eventually have to conform to.
There wasn’t even enough pvpers to have a server discord until honor weekend and AB released, that’s when all the “bracket abiding rankers” came. At this point there were r5s from the mafia guild all in bracket 13 asking me how much honor I got when I’ve been pvping since p2. I was r7 last year and fresh 60s are telling me to stop farming honor for r12 6 months later. Yeah no
Im amazed that youre amazed by it.
Theyre fine with it because that is exactly how premades operate against the rest of the population. Theyre fine with it because you set yourself up to take a fall like that. Theyre fine with it because you reap what you sow.
Beating someone in a system that is designed to be competitive is on purpose, but it’s not inherently malicious. That’s just how the system works.
Instead of complaining about bracket breakers you should be talking to blizzard about the honor system.
Of course, doing things like hiding, editing addons, botting, and account sharing when you know how everything is set up is malicious. Is this a joke?
Also of course the anti-premade people are here with the premade hatred again because working together with other people shouldn’t be done in an MMORPG.
Your server sounds like it is/was pretty corrupt. They aren’t all like this.
So for noobs like me… At what rank does this bracket mafia becomes relevant? I would love to join pre-mades at 60.
Botting and account sharing are both against the TOS, is this a joke?
Finding ways to break your ability to track their honor and use the data to harass them no that’s perfectly acceptable as long as it doesn’t break the TOS.
And shocking that people who support pug stomping have an issue with anything that might make them do extra work…
Honestly, unless you’re actively trying to mess with a bracket stack…its basically impossible to do it by accident. And that is by design. The caps are intentionally set high enough that it would be impossible for the average guy to beat them.
AV is currently suffering from the Reputation Mafia.
Also. What’s with all these “highly skilled” high ranked horde players always
Back Door Hill Jumping in AV to cap Tower like a cheater.
Not only do they have high rank from their rank mafia but they also cheat the AV game to win in which the game needs to be patched for a more balanced game that eliminates cheaters.
You seem perfectly fine with the botting and account sharing that is being mentioned in other replies on this post.
Yes being underhanded is fine according to the TOS, It’s also fine for us to do what is needed to warn the community about these people so they don’t cause problems for anyone else.
I explicitly said botting and account sharing are both against the TOS. They should be punished accordingly.
And yes you are perfectly free to try to black list someone if they don’t want to play by your arbitary rules. As long as that doesn’t fall into the category of harassment that is. Which is also against the TOS just like botting and account sharing.
Had a guild go rogue on my server last week and got in an honor war with the top group. The caps were originally agreed at 800k for b14 but the guild said f that and kept playing. The top group ended up grinding to 1.5mil for the b14 cap lol. Everyone who grinded between 6-800k expecting b12-b14 spots got screwed cuz one guild decided they wanted to troll everyone. Made me end up having to rank 1 more week ftl. But at least I’ll be hitting 11 today. Fancy new tiger here we go.
Working as intended, maybe you weren’t including enough of their members in the brackets and they got sick of it.
