If you are truly having fun in current WoW

Did I say otherwise? Nope.

You responding to someone else? All I commented on was your use of the English language to overdramatize your leaving a game.

You called yourself a refugee in another game hoping for others to play how you like.

Plenty have left and come back over the years, I am one of them. Thing is though, I just don’t understand the level of fanaticism one must have to continue to consume and pay for something that clearly hasn’t made them happy for years.

If not RP what did you mean by:

General question, the only big difference I’ve noted between the two communities is there is a heck lot more RP there than here. Sorry for the inference, but that sentence makes zero sense in any other context to me. Or is it that people are not feeling you pushing another game in these forums yet again?

Fashion me with proof. I could easily look this up myself, but I think you’re lying and want to see evidence of that so I can feel smug about it.
Because it’s my belief that any game willing to front the cost would do so early and not years and years into it’s life

Finally something we can agree on. If someone doesn’t like this game then they should leave and find one they do like.

Like the op said suggesting ffxiv is like suggesting a fine restaurant everyone has hear bad things about but is actually really great. The wow community almost turned me off from trying it. See I’m looking at this from a narrative perspective. Plenty of people on here don’t want to talk about ffxiv for one reason or another be it through purposefully malice intent or a misguided concept they have in their head given to them by the community. Weather you want to try ffxiv is irrelevant to me. Someone will read this post and think to themselves, ‘you know what? I think this guy might have a point’ and go try ffxiv. That’s all I care about

And doing it in another game’s forum makes sense why? Why not approach your friends? Why not reach out to discord communities?

I stand by my chocobo toaster comment. No other MMO has people coming to other forums like FF does. So how many more post til you get your toaster?

Ffxiv is putting data centers in for Australia with the next expansion. I’m sorry you play a game because it’s one of the only ones with decent latency.

I actually do suggest it I suggest it all the time on other forums and Facebook groups. But like I said ffxiv appealed to me because I tried wow first. So by virtue of experience I assume most people who enjoy mmos will at least try ffxiv. You don’t go to call of duty forums recommending wow do you?

Why would I?

Why would anyone?

I recommend things I like to my friends, I don’t try to push randoms in a forum into another game. You not grasping that doesn’t shock me though, you actually called yourself a refugee in another game like it was the end of the world. It’s a game.

So, what 10 more til toasted chocobo slices?

It is pretty striking how toxic the community is here vs there. I gotta wonder what exactly made people this way - so lacking in empathy it’s not even funny.

After my foray on these forums after I decided to unsub, it kind of made me realize that it was a wise choice for me. If I can’t enjoy the game and the community is so resistant to people voicing their concerns that they belittle and mock them - well, it’s probably time to move on. I really wish the moderators would have dealt with this a long time ago. But, it’s too far gone now.

WoW refugee is a term in game of ffxiv as common as pve or experience or inventory. It’s not something he made up just now. Even the content creators use it constantly.

You sounds quite hostile to someone simply recommending a game. Again I suggest ffxiv to wow players because of their similarity. I also want wow to improve. By getting blizzard to wake up by realizing they are losing players wow improves and I have another game to play. Seems to me like a win for everyone but not you i guess

I totally would but alas, Club Penguin isn’t around anymore and Neopets just ain’t what it used to be.

Because shilling for FF14 isn’t fixing WoW.

You are trying to justify recruiting players for a competitor by saying it’s “good” for WoW but there is no evidence to support that argument.

You assume I think it needs improving. Minor things sure, but when I dislike it I cancel. I don’t continue to sub to post diary entries to an echo chamber. You do get that right? You think they care about your posts here? They know how little of their community comes here, they have the numbers. All they see is that revenue generate by your sub, whether it be monthly, 6 month or even the inflated 20 token that enables gold valued subs.

Let’s be real you yourself say they don’t listen, but sure.

You don’t know how the market works then. People want to play wow. Does that mean they will stop laying ffxiv? Probobly not but people do want to play it but blizzard has given us no reason to continue subbing. You keep trying to turn this around on us by saying things like we want to recruit for a competitor. FYI Yoshi p takes ideas from every mmo on the market to try and improve his game. Something wow could learn.

The OP literally is encouraging players to go play other MMOs…

I’m not trying to turn anything around. It is literally what his posts says.

On the other hand, you are trying to justify advertising/recruiting for FF14 in the WoW forums as somehow good for WoW…which it clearly is not

I find that difficult to believe considering by the community at large shadowlands is train wreck. If your happy good for you lots of people aren’t. Many people want to be. Guess what people recommend things like eso and black dessert all the time on ffxiv. I tried both kinda liked them but couldint justify more then two mmos at a time. Again this misguided concept we want wow to fail is only hurting the game.

Again you don’t know how the market works when your losing revenue you find the problem why your losing that revenue and improve and you get that revenue back. I would play wow if they made it justifiable for me to pay them $15 a month and they haven’t

Or you stop investment all together because your product is no longer profitable.

Your plan is to make WoW better by poaching enough players to its competitors so that WoW loses a ton of money so that Blizz (hopefully) invests a bunch of money into a 16 year old game

Seems like a really really silly plan that probably won’t turn out like you think it will
