Really? There’s always a ton of people when I play it. Maybe you were in one of the old zones?
Well done!
Quoted because this needs to be immortal.
Not sure, it was all marble decor and lots of Kajit (cat people)
Okay… Assuming you did try 14 to endgame it still sounds like you dont actually want wow to improve. Blizzard is complacent in their rule as the number 1 mmo but at this point since theres no actual sub numbers i find that difficult to believe with wow creators trying ffixiv and the current content drought and tbc classic. Either that or your actively discouraging people from playing 14 based on your experience when most people who have made the switch have enjoyed 14. In either case your not helping wow improve
I’m have no obligation to “help WoW improve”.
Much like I did with FF14, I play games until I no longer enjoy them and then move on. I am an unpaid customer and I don’t really care what Blizz does with their game
I mean… yeah.
You’ve been playing a game for years that you don’t even like, hoping that the game changes into something that its players won’t like, just to suit you.
I don’t think that’s going to happen, so you should definitely leave.
And by “leave” I mean, stop subscribing to the game just so you can come to the forums and talk about how dumb you feel for playing a game for years that you don’t even like. Because, yeah, that seems a pretty silly thing to do.
It’s just one friend group (and go figure we’d have somewhat similar tastes having been friends for so long) but out of like 15 people that tried FF14 only 1 guy actually liked it enough to want to keep playing it.
Which is fine. Folks need to play what they have fun with. I personally found FF14’s early content to be really boring and I couldn’t make a character I really connected with at all–the latter is a major hit for me.
Maybe I’d give it another shot if they added an interesting new race.
Stop… Get some help.
Title: ‘If you are truly having fun in current WoW’
Body: Directed towards people not having fun in current WoW.
Or another genre completely. MMORPGs have pretty much all modeled themselves after WoW for the past 1.5 decades so the majority of them are all themepark lobbies where you wait for your turn on the ride.
If you’re actually looking for a game more geared towards hanging out, doing stupid stuff and socializing then you’re actually probably better off with sandbox games that have multiplayer options or survival games like Valheim and Ark.
Or a phone game like Hay Day.
Okay then why are you so hostile twords us for simply wanting to improve the game? because dispute what you may or may not believe about the ffxiv most of us are wow refugees and wow resub in a heartbeat if it was worth playing and that’s what we are trying to do. Getting people to play ffxiv is just a bonus no one says you can’t play both. I would play both probably but again ps4/5. I would also play wow if the community like yourself was at least a bit more inventing like the ffxiv is
People are just really tired of folks who never should have played WoW in the first place, and keep talking about how they’ve always hated WoW, hanging around on the forums talking about how they’ve always hated the game and never should have played it.
Just GO. Sheesh.
Except I don’t hate wow please go back and read my comments cause I literally said I would play wow if it was on console
Ok you RP refugees? What is this? I agree with the majority here. It’s a game, and you feel like a refugee because you lost the love for it and moved to another? I bet you complain the writing here is bad too.
More RP? I thought the realms meant for that were pretty darn good. But again, a bigger majority is not into that. You found a community that has that niche for you great. But that rofl, has zero to do with their design and more about how players choose to play. That’s a common theme in these threads, I prefer it my way!
well, its not a bad idea to play more than one game as most games have some element that does not exist in another and sometimes you may want to experience those elements.
like reading a book series, its not the only book series worth reading, (maybe its the best but reading another series for different experiences doesnt detract from the main series of books you are reading)
MMORPGs are great, as they tend to excel at the multiple user engagement area but a single player game can excel in areas that are only really possible in a single player setting.
I am having fun in wow atm. The PVP portion is in a fairly good state compared to other expansions imo. the short comings has to do with gated progress. any new character can only progress player power at about the same rate as at the start of the expansion. crafting legos hits a wall with soul ash available per week. sockets hit a wall of only being allowed a small amount of time to farm the currency.
all your soulbind options take a metric ton of time investment to even get what you need. RNG done the system no favors. despite all the balancing, there are only a few viable options for certain specs.
renown catchup isnt the best but it certainly a lot better.
A major issue with conduit energy is it actively encourages you to stick to a single spec and prevents any testing or even considering the lesser options. it is 2021 after all and people know exactly which one is that .001% better of an option for any system, not just conduits/ soul binds.
and then there is Druid, 3 soulbind options for 4 specs. even in Bliz’s perfect world 1 spec is getting left out, never mind the fact that often times all 4 specs tend to do best with a single soulbind. its kind of to the point i’ve got a second druid in the same cov, which is kind of silly but here we are. U.U
i am also planning on getting a 3rd Druid to use for another Cov.
any how. depending on what you want to do in the game it can be fun or it can feel like its All Chore gast.
maybe you get to play the game once its all done.
good thing about the patch going so long though. there is still time to get things done, even at a reasonable time investment pace of just 3-6 hours a day 5 days a week. and maybe a 12-18 hour scramble before reset
but i guess the point is, there is time to play more than 1 game to enjoy different kinds of fun.
KSM in bfa for several seasons on my Druid and my demon hunter tank and dps. I know my way around wow thank you. Never even touched an RP sever.
Name three with servers in Australia. I’ll wait forever because there are none. EA tried and when their cost inflated mmo failed to deliver, aussy servers where the very first thing pulled to cut costs.
final fantasy does not. Even at it’s best you’re playing a more action mmo with garbage latency
I’m pretty sure they were sponsored to switch by SquareEnix. A certain content creator mentioned it and I don’t think it’s a coincidence that they’re doing it at the same time.
They’re about to.
