If you are truly having fun in current WoW

Well obviously what blizzard is doing isint working now is it and you already said it’s not your job to improve the game which means we can’t count on ideas from you. But in either case like I told the other guy weather you yourself switched to ffxiv is irrelevant to me. Someone reading this thread will that’s all that matters

Well, I guess that fact that Blizz allows blatant player poaching and competitor advertisements on their forums are a sign of the times.

Good luck with your efforts I guess

I call it player rescuing. I’m having fun in ffxiv and I want to share that fun. Any decent person would do the same

Blizzard doesn’t have to throw a lot of money at the game, they have to change their philosophy about what makes a good game.

This^ All of it

Th only other game i play besides wow that is online is Warframe.

I have beem playing it since 2014, a long time too. I think that i just love grindy games

FFXIV is alright, it’s not the savior of the MMORPG genre. I did the Eden Raids, the Nier Raids, finished the story, and all that. I have 80 Ninja, Red Mage, Summoner, 72 Black Mage, 54 Monk, 57 Bard. I’m in a free company with my friend, his sister, and her fiancée. Haven’t finished up the recent update, just been burnt out on it.

I just don’t find leveling 1-80 in FFXIV enjoyable, unlike WoW. I don’t like Palace of the Dead, Heaven on High, and doing Patorium and Castrium runs every day. Also, I did a Realm Reborn TWICE. Once, before it was patched and second when it was. A Realm Reborn is a slog of an expansion to get through.

I do enjoy FFXIV story and some aspect of the game. I love Y’shtola, Alisaie, G’raha, and Estinien and many more characters.

But, one thing FFXIV can’t do is scratch my MMO itch properly. No matter how crappy WoW gets, WoW will always be able to scratch it juuussst right.

Dude if you hate this game so much why are you on the forums nearly every day posting? You def got some issues

It’s crazy. Players will spend years bashing this game instead of filling their free time with something they enjoy. It’s telling.

Honestly, I’ve grown tired of traveling on the ground. I’ll do more stuff when we get flying.

That was the perfect ending point.

Would have been a nice little thread then.

What a pointless post.

Just some opinions guised as a fact.

Troll better next time

This forum in general is much much worse nowdays.

There’s 3 types of “players”

WoW stans: that dont allow any sort of criticism but only their toxic positivity/pov.

FF “andy”: hilarious enough I did read this on youtube and it totally fits, posting on wow forums about how amazing their game is and how you should totally join there.

The strugglers: People that want to play the game but they are sick of forcing themselves to play in a game where systems are souless and the only consideration is how much sub money the can rake from each player monthly.

I’ve said this countless times… you can enjoy this current version of WoW you’re free to do so and I’m happy for you. But I will not allow you to try convince me or deny my opinions based on your toxic positivity. As for the FF andys if their game is so good why they need to public their agenda on this forums? shouldnt you be playing that game?

You might consider reading a book or watching a movie. idk what mmo’s some of you guys have been playing, but I’ve never played a AAA studio mmo that these things were the main focus, EXCEPT, ff14. And that game sucks.

You give way too much praise to FFXIV. Play it and get in deep, real deep and you’ll find the ugly in it. Played it for many years now, left cause of too much drama. On the surface it’s fun, but when you start to socialize and stuff, people are just…ugh horrible. Many don’t see that, but it’s there.

And these streamers are just waiting for the next big thing and will drop FF in a heartbeat.

Anyone enjoying WoW right now would almost certainly be better off with a game like Skyrim or New Vegas.

Like, if SL or BFA is what someone considers acceptable, they desperately need to expand their library.

Not everyone who dislikes the current state of WoW and expresses it on the forums is someone who fits this criteria. Yet they get lashed out at just the same. I enjoyed vanilla to wrath, despised cata, loved mop to legion and haven’t cared much for the state of the game for the last two expansions.

The OP’s advise is meant for people like me who really should be looking to other games instead of holding out hope that maybe just maybe Blizz devs might pull their head out of their rear ends.

And I have found excitement in gaming again with Darkest Dungeon, Hollow Knight and Ori. WoW holds me because of the art and the amount of time invested. Its nice to hear what others seem to be enjoying so that if I do decide to leave I have a general idea of were to go by people who hold similar interests.

I have tried SWTOR, DCUO, ESO, FFXIV, Maplestory 2, Guild Wars 2, Blade and Soul, EQ, Neverwinter, Tera, Star Trek Online, LOTR Online, Rift, Runescape, Wildstar and City of Heroes. WoW still ends up being the one I’ve played the most. It’s not perfect and there are things I’d like to see change. But there are also things I didn’t like about those other games.

I’m currently playing ESO probably will comeback once the burnout wears off I guess or they add a necromancer class (which they probably never will ;-; )

I tried…

GW- basically a single player game if you don’t PvP…I don’t PvP
GW2- no meaningful “end game” to sink your time into since progression is horizontal, not vertical…and having the “best” gear doesn’t mean you’ll stomp random mobs…no power fantasy.
Wildstar- dead game, might as well be a single player game.
Secret World Online- dead, might as well be a single player game.
Tera- disgusting UI, couldn’t play for more than 2hrs.
Rappelz- terrible game, can’t believe I sunk hours into this POS.
Silk Road- terrible game, can’t believe I sunk hours into this POS.
FFXIV- Not a fan of “JRPG first, MMORPG second,” though it does have a lot of things WoW could learn from.
Private servers- nice for nostalgia, but ultimately an exercise in futility.
Warframe- not really an mmo. warframe isnt’ the game I fell in love with anymore…Digital Extremes have lost their touch.

Modern WoW is the only thing that scratches the itch now.
