If only the teams who do systems (such as housing would be) were the same that did raids. The main double dip is interns and creative heads.
the scenario i imagine is every little thing has to be approved and the approval chain is long for big features like raids and player housing, so every thing slows down to a snails pace in the approval circuit, effecting the rest of the game. it probably would have to be bifurcated so fewer approvals were needed for either one, and depending, that could be dangerous.
why?
whatâs silly about telling somebody who wants a game that has X to play a game that has X?
I thought about allowing players to pick any one Inn currently in the game, to furnish how they wish, to call home, and for a certain radius around the Inn could be customized with various items as well. Some of the smaller Inns could be off limits, and of course any of the City Inns wouldnât be allowed either. It would be phased to you and your party / guild too. And have some system to allow you to switch whoâs Inn you are seeing because obviously more than one player would use the same Inn, since there are only around 100 Inns and 10s of 1000s of players on any one server.
Raids have been irrelevant since at least BfA outside of the very tippy top end where people are competing for world rankings. (No, âbut raid has this 1 OP trinket!â does not make the entire thing relevant)
As much as I think putting resources into Housing instead of actual content is a bad idea, if itâs specifically raids, I have a hard time caring about it with how the modern game works.
Iâd LIKE to care about raiding, but thereâs just no real reason to and itâs been that way for awhile.
yes, I agree.
Put that same OP trinket on the fishing loot table with the same drop rate as M+/raid and watch fishing explode in popularity.
Call the Attorney General
eek, then i would have to play 4 games instead of 3? i already play classic vanilla, classic wrath and retail.
Each could focus on what its for and likely be much better for that particular thing.
Its not going to happen, obviously. But in an alternate reality where it did, I wouldnt complain in the least.
PvP in this game is an abject hoax afterthought. lol. Tab targeting has no place in a REAL Player versus Player game where aiming accurately is half the point, lol.
Maybe leave LFR in the RP version so we can see the âend gameâ, but wouldnt bother me at all to have normal thru Mythic being its own thing.
could even share a database so we have our collections, I spect.
But PvPers, raiders and the rest of us could maybe get what we want from the game without the crossover problems stinking up everyone elses game
please tell me
what is player housing?
why would anyone want it?
But Blizz is extremely unlikely to just take the hit on paying for it
They confuse the hell out of me sometimes lol
I cant remember a single thread in here since Aug 2017 when I started WoW where anyone was even hinting at something like Dragonriding. I read here EVERY SINGLE DAY, lol. Very odd that Ive never seen the threads if they exist.
But here we are. Dragonriding that no one asked for lol.
Its like they see the ideas that get presented here and elsewhere, literally ignore the thoughts of paying customersâŠthen go do some off the wall thing that no on was asking for instead.
I LOOOOVE dragonriding, dont get me wrong. Best thing to happen to this game in a long time. But I musta missed the threads inquiring about it over the last 6 years somehow. lol.
I say all that to say that yeahâŠtheyre NOT gonna listen to us about housing or anything else until and unless its very clear that subs are tanking so bad that layoffs might be coming.
I gladly settle for my garrison because I dont personally believe Ion will invest a single second of thought into player housing in this game.
Which sucks because, like the dragonriding mount mods, toy and mog collectingâŠthere is a HUGE potential with housing, including what I mentioned a few times now. Put anchor spots all over the walls in our houses then when you kill a dungeon or raid boss, its mounted head gets added to your collection to mount on the walls of your house.
Im sorryâŠI dont buy for one single second that even the most serious of raiders wouldnt get involved if not just for that one sole aspect of housing.
Might have to get a word in from Blizzard at this stage.
The community wouldnât be willing to lose a raid tier for something most wouldnât participate in.
How would you know? You canât even tell me what percentage raids.
Agreed
Although i would probably only use it as an extra hearthstone.
Assuming that hearthing to your house would be a thing
But here we are. Dragonriding that no one asked for lol.
You mean flight from day 1 that almost everyone asked for? (with the added petty blizzard âwe hate flying so now itâs activeâ penalty)
Normal flying and Dragon flying are two different features.
Some players are still asking for Normal flying back.
The community wouldnât be willing to lose a raid tier for something most wouldnât participate in. I know Iâd be pretty upset if Blizz announced they were scrapping the raid for player housing, and upset is the nice way of saying it.
DonÂŽt you have enough raids by now?
I find them so boring, itÂŽs just repeating the same patterns each Tier and nothing you gain is for much longer than a few weeks.
Housing would be new content for everyone to enjoy, something that actually lasts.
You mean flight from day 1 that almost everyone asked for? (with the added petty blizzard âwe hate flying so now itâs activeâ penalty)
strawman? seriously?
Dragonriding that no one asked for lol.
versusâŠ
flight from day 1
WoW needs to keep itâs M+/Raiders happy.
It doesnt? The vast majority of players do not do mythic+ or raid higher than LFR.
Normal flying and Dragon flying are two different features.
DR is still flight from day 1, and Iâm in the prefers old flying camp.
strawman? seriously?
No straw involved. DR is definitely still flight and it was available on day 1. One of the more popular requests since WoD.
Shoot, more active flight was also often requested as folks like the GW version.
Normal flying and Dragon flying are two different features.
Exactly
seemed simple enough lol
Some players are still asking for Normal flying back.
Should have been in DF within a week of release.
By the time we all had our glyphs normal flight was absolutely no threat whatsoever to dragonriding.
Feels likeâŠmmmmâŠthe old flight hate spite, maybe
