If we want player housing instead of another raid

Everyone will agree that you are out of your mind.

Raids are interesting to a niche crowd at best, and that population is in decline every expansion. There’s a reason they’re constantly trying new things. Your playstyle peaked in like 2010.

So 90% of that is like 2 people? Because you can look at the AH and have proof that many even now still do stuff in the garrison.

It absolutely is in this case. Especially since it’s only gotten worse. They abandon content as soon as it’s released. And there is a large majority of it never released.

In which games?

Because I’ve played ESO, FFXIV, SWTOR and DCUO. All have housing systems. All have very active ah listings involving them. And FFXIV had such a long waiting list for housing that they had to hold a lottery and add more housing.

Thats because the games endgame is and always has been about raids. You should try it sometime.

Sounds like you found your solution!

I literally find this so incredibly lame and juvenile.

All this talking about collecting… are yall hoarders?! Sheesh…

It’s currently at 60%. I would say the majority of a playerbase participating in raiding isn’t a “niche”

if you think most players would be okay with sacrificing a raid tier for housing, you are just way out of touch with the community, and need to actually play the game imo

that would be the quickest step into destroying your seasonal playerbase!

lmao…and why was LFR created again?
little hint…because FEW of us are HARD CORE raiders.

here…I’ll fix that for ya…ignored.

We’ve got another delusional casual.

Most likely in proportion to overall decline…

Like why even play a game when you have no motivation to win?!?! Is life that dull for you that you just wanna walk around and collect chairs for your fake house? I’d rather kill stuff.

Guess what.

You can be a casual

And still raid normal heroic and mythic.

LFR was created for solo players to experience the story.

You don’t have to be hardcore to be a raider and you clearly keep not understanding that.

You dont have to be “Hardcore” to raid normal. Yall are just scared of meters and getting kicked. Its obvious.

personally, Id like to see a legit, blizzard sourced survey of the entire player base.
one player, one vote.

Id bet money that so few of us do much beyond LFR and maybe a normal here and there that if offered a decent, well laid out housing system that the Yea’s would be in the majority.

Even in your casual dominated forums, this isn’t the case. Check out the string about it.

How much you willing to bet because the data disagrees with that.

The vast majority of the raiding playerbase raid heroic. A good portion raid normal and the minority is mythic.

This is tracked info.

Feeling of victory is subjective. I don’t always need video games to replace the feeling of actual accomplishment, and if I do there are better games than WoW for that.

RPGs are deeper than just winning combat, but you do you. WoW’s raiding is too much of a time investment and it’s not easy to PUG. WoW’s group content is primarily for people whose social lives exist almost exclusively within the game itself. It’s one reason things like raids have never really been that popular.

I’m not even sure LFR is keeping it alive anymore, but it might be. It’s certainly not premades and it never was.

I started mid Legion.
Looking back at what the game WAS and what it IS, Id be inclined to believe this.
No doubt early years when the game was a lot different the original players loved the community.
As the community has quit, or just become less appealing. And with the creation of the queue and LFR, Id bet good money that a majority are less involved with their game revolving around hardcore raiding.

My money is on a legit vote showing that the actual majority would be entire fine with ditching a bit of the high end content even…including M+…and adding more causal stuff in like a DECENT housing system.

Plenty of em.

And stop trying to be a mathmatician.

You wanna blame a company for everything when it comes to things I can see that pretty clear…

Stop trying to be a mathematician over it unless you have some weird connection in the company that releases full details to you.

I hate to be your billing company honestly because like here this tells me you pull the same over that.
Everything here is opinion.

And from what I see and using your concept here, so it’s really only 10 people who want hello kitty sims housing so nice try, I’ll give you that.

Luckily it wouldn’t be either or. The teams designing raids and M+ wouldn’t be the team that invested in world content or a system like housing, and if that’s the case then they’re not investing enough of their profits back into this game. The only real teams that would be split are the art teams.

It’s just funny to see people who think that raiding is the ultimate focus of WoW. It was for like an expansion and they had to add LFR because they couldn’t justify the cost of creating more of them. I mean, yeah, raiding is ONE popular activity, but it’s never been THE popular activity.

Ugh, please don’t say “we” or “the community” when giving personal desires TC…

With that said, I would be down for losing a raid tier for player housing haha. I see a lot of arguments like this…

As if this person assumes that EVERYONE Raids in this game. It’s a community driven hypocrisy when people assume the content they like is content everyone likes and takes part in. Raids, just like Player Housing, has its groups of people who like it but it’s disingenuous to presume that everyone playing the game plays for raids or even likes raids.

Different content for different people. While personally I think that RPers and casual content has been very second class citizen like, more so than PvPers, I think Blizzard is overdue for doing something for the more casual, RP focused players of the RPG aspect of the game.

I would personally be okay with seeing a weaker/missing Raid Tier, even though I enjoy raiding, for Player Housing.

That’s a lie. It’s extremely easy to pug. While gearing my mage I have been pugging normal and heroic every week.

That’s another lie.

I’m married, work 60 hours a week, have a daughter, shoot pool on Wednesday nights, and raid two nights a week when everyone else in the family is asleep.

You’re just making excuses.

Also another lie.

Even currently they have over 60% of the population participating.

Lol you don’t need to be a mathmatician to look at ah listings.

Never said I’m blaming the company for everything. And unless you own said company, you shouldn’t be that upset. But it is true that the lack of evergreen content is why most older content and some newer content is abandoned. Yes, sometimes the design (or lack of it) is responsible for that.

No but I’ve worked with them in testing and they are much more open to feedback. They know there are some things they can be doing better.

It might be. But it also might be more like in the games I mentioned.
