If we want player housing instead of another raid

I agree but he still prefer raids than anything else

And?

It’s still some5thing people may or may not abandon.Garrisons already proved players would abandon

And then build a wall around him so he suffocates. Invite Sylvanas over for a pool party and then take out all the ladders.

I’m also not sure why some are confused about housing in an MMO, but it shows that they haven’t played many of them.

The devs THEMSELVES abandoned garrisons… not the players. It didn’t even release with HALF the features it was supposed to, and they gutted them last minute, like right before WoD launched AFTER making it a grand show of all the customizable features the garrisons pre-lease would have. That onus is NOT on the players for the garrison flop, that’s on THEM.

Just be loud enough, raid Twitter, flood these forums with back to back posts. Linking to examples like ESO or FF14.

Okay here’s the rub.

it is on us as well . I have seen plenty of threads and convos in game of players adbandoning their garrisons because they got bored with them and found something new and shiney.

So it’s on both at the end of the day.

Garrisons aren’t really housing for one. And many did not abandon them because they were still profitable because of professions for several expacs later. But I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, most content gets abandoned when new stuff releases.

Because up until the new mythic+ rotations, Blizz abandoned everything outside of timewalking.

Which both also run on an engine over 20 years old.

Oh, wait, they don’t? Hmmmm

They could likely do pre-determined hook style like Swtor, since they had some of that in the Garrison.

And yet Blizzard shows’ they’re competent enough to upgrade it. Back then, we were running on single-threaded cores. Now they got it going for Multi-threaded. And now even Ray-tracing (For those who cares about it). It comes to show that with enough effort, they CAN upgrade their own engine.

That being said… That’s extremely taking out of context, we’re talking about player housing, not technicals.

All the people talking about housing should just go play 7 days to die.

Absolutely.

But, again, the player housing lobby deemed that unacceptable.

Because “that’s not player housing”.

Again: The people who claim to want this, made sure it will never happen.

There is no lobby nor general consensus.

There’s a lobby, although it’s probably not very big.

You’re right that there’s no consensus, which is another problem. No matter how Blizzard does housing (if they ever touch it again, which seems unlikely), they’re going to make 2/3 of the people who wanted it furious, because they didn’t do it the way THEY wanted.

For example, some games do housing in the open world. If WoW did a TARDIS-style overlap housing (like garrison) or housing neighborhoods (like DAOC), all the people who wanted open world plots would be upset.

Blizzard just can’t win, on this.

yea, ion really hasn’t lead the raids in a great direction

Yes, this strategy will be even more effective after Microsoft takes over.

I haven’t seen a lobby. Just posts. And people all have different ideas on what it would/could look like. And Blizz has said they are aware of the desire for housing.

They’ll likely develop things slowly within the files. Like they have with updating world assets. The two actually might overlap in development.

Open world plots are unreasonable with the lag in this game, and with how sucky getting a house is in FFXIV.

The best option is instanced housing with visiter settings. Especially guild settings. So they have the option of being private or guild residences.

Assuming that the money thrown at Blizzard actually goes into hiring/paying employees than Bobby’s 104th yacht that came to life and eats 100 dollar bills.

Exactly. dont actually give a squat either way.
If I want play house, Ive got a long list of houses in ESO I can go screw with for a few hours.
But this forum has an epidemic of 'I dont like it, therefore it will fail because no one will like it"
lmao.
Betting some who say that battle pets…and I HATE pet battles. And Im not so trapped in my own little world that I dont see the value of adding pets/battles to this game. Same with toys. Mounts. Heirlooms, etc.

If they do housing right, it WILL get used. period.

Player housing is not worth giving up anything over
