If we want player housing instead of another raid

player housing should come, but it should make sense from a feature perspective.

like, a lot of content can come from adding furniture items to the loot table of all content.

crafting systems could make use of it.

the cash shop could be littered with it.

the Trading post could be forever stocked with it.

the value is there, IF done right.

a Reminder that Garrisons is not player housing.

what Wild Star had was player housing. if the game had released in a properly optimized state it might have fared better.

Minecraft is arguably player housing to player world-ing the entire world can be customized there and graphics are not even a factor in its ability to have gameplay value in a pure sandbox state.

the game needs to be playable before it can have bonus features that make it better.

idk what that survival game Bliz is working on has, but if there is player housing of some forum there that meets the definition of player housing then maybe what they learn or develop there can help make it possible for wow later on.

Not everyone comes here looking to have a beef with someone.

We don’t, raid is more important. i want actual content instead of something that will just be boring after a week of dealing with.

And argue all you want but the garrison was a test for housing and people hated it

I’d rather an axe than an arm chair. This just sounds so juvenile.

Play house in that game then?

Again, play that?

God I hope not.

No beef, Mcweef. Just here for the chuckles.

mmm.

I suppose will see.

You might want this as a reference. Blizzard Support - Forum Code of Conduct (battle.net)

I see this thread backfired on you :joy:

I didn’t violate a single term of service. Either way, i really dont care tbh.

Weef - noun, A flexible tough sapling, or a split sapling, adapt ed for interweaving with others, as in the manufacture of crates.

It was a compliment :sunglasses:

I think a few posters hear actually believe that hardcore raiders are the majority of players of WoW, lol.
Player housing is something nearly all paying casuals would use, if done right…and regardless of the claims otherwise, even a ton of raiders would use them…again…IF they are done right.
‘right’ being defined as 'very close to how ESO does it".

Eso has houses all over the map.
Those houses arent just places to jam your crap, they are free hearths from anywhere in the game world. Which is why my ESO houses are positioned all over the game map.

And put some really nice things inside those raids…say a mounted head of a boss inside that raid, that can be hung on one of many fixed spots inside the home.
I dont believe for a second that even raiders wouldnt find it cool to have mounted heads of their raid boss kills in a player house.

What they dont need to do is make it all moveable like ESO is.
I dont care if I can move a chair 3 inches to the left, lol.
just have a bunch of fixed positions for everything you can collect, and you just choose what to put in each spot from a collections tab.

It’s not an assumption. And no it’s not hardcore raiders but just raiders. 60% of accounts have raid achievements at one level or another.

Raiders are the majority. Even the majority of this thread say they don’t want to lose a raid tier.

In a casual and I would flat out ignore it unless I’m required to do it.

uh…yeah. lmao
ESO has houses all over the game world. which is why they do it similar to that and it works.
I see other players coming in and out of the same player house door I have every time I play the game.

So you admit if its done RIGHT, you enjoy it.
Point literally made.

lmao…doing LFR and a normal here and there isnt ‘hardcore’ which IF you had READ my post youd have certainly seen the word there, lol

no…HARDCORE raiders arent. sorry.
Those who run LFR and some normals and such who dont LIVE in a raid every time they log in are absolutely a majority of players.

who…cares?
show me anywhere I said “ALL” players son…when you cant show me…yeah…

lmao.
this forum doesnt represent even close to the actual player base lol.

I dont raid and i still dont want player housing. No one who wants it will be satisfied and i really cant stand the whining.

How about we make a battleground?

You can do mythic raiding and still be casual. What you can’t seem to understand that raiding is the majority.

Yiu can’t argue statistics. 60% + of the player base participates in raid. That by definition is the majority.

Never said it did. The fact you even argued that means you’re running out of points.

it would if you’re actually playing the game and not the forums

So did games like UO, AC, SWG… for a month. Then people lost interest. Waste of money.

I enjoy building even if it’s done wrong. But I’m not most people.

The “instead of a raid tier” thing is a stupid meme, anyway.

Let’s head in the direction of “player housing would cost us 6 seasons of Mythic+ dungeons” and you’ll really see the pitchforks and torches come out.
