I would still use dynamic flight even if it was the same speed as static. It’s more interactive and fun.
There will always be people doing the slightly harder thing.
And that’s fine they do that btw.
But for some reason, they can’t enjoy the fact that people are using the easier thing, and constantly strive for validation for the slightly harder thing. Or simply want the easier thing gone or try to pretty much deprive people for using said thing.
…Were in a game where we have Jack Black Pandas and fire horses we fly on, breaking laws of psyhics every time.
Oh and mage portals, we can swim in lava for a bit without dying instantly, Zombies, giant dragons that fire breath, two headed races with one eyes,… magic, there’s that…
Ya know, i feel like these types of agruments would be excellent for something say… Grand Theft Auto where it’s meant to be realistic sort of, but then going ahead to have these Saints Row 4 bikes being in the game for NO reason. And not in a pure medieval sci-fi fantasy game like Warcraft.
If they were both the same speed, I would still use dynamic flight. Why? Bc I like it, it feels way more engaging and I enjoy the animations and abilities. Static flight is very boring to look at compared to dynamic flight. And since I have no issues managing vigor (even while gathering) there is no need to ever use static flight.
Says the dwarf that can shoot lightning from their hands and summon a giant rock monster…
The only player engagement metric is monthly logins.
I don’t think even you’re stupid enough to suggest that 5 second cast times increase monthly login.
But I’ve been surprised by you before, so
Yes. Its the same thing.
Your point is “if you remove the benefits of skyriding, people wont do it”
Just like about any other system in the game.
Except that isnt happening here.
Both normal flying and sky riding has their benefits. I am not saying anyone that enjoys normal flying is wrong or should be gone.
I would. Every now and again I’ll just fly over the continent picking up green globes and true flying over the landscape. It’s fun and feels better.
Simple as that; I like both and value my choice.
You’re asking if something was easier and just as fast would we use it instead of dragon riding… uhm yeah
It isn’t stupid to ask why a 5 second delay is necessary when it could be instant or shorter.
That’s not what you did though. You decided to provide your own answer instead of asking the question.
And it was a stupid answer
Who in their right mind would choose to press buttons to zip and zoop, dip and dive when they could just push auto run? I like the trade off, either you can “pause” flying but you’re slower over all or you can zip, zoop, zoom but you can’t “pause”.
Yeah, dragonriding is much more engaging imo.
It’d be nearly impossible to use it beyond going in straight lines, I’d like to think?
I dunno, I kinda like dragonriding as is, but I can get why others don’t tbh
When Blizzard makes games like Diablo Immortal it isn’t far fetched to think they’d trying pulling the same kind of techniques on here.
It’ll just be more subtle, except some of us will be able to see it for what it is.
Yeah, you’re definitely the one
if you could instantly teleport anywhere you wanted without limit would you ever ride the bus…
I was not aware that switching between static and dynamic flying had become a micro transaction.
Just something to eat up more time or irritate us to the point where they can psychologically condition us to suggest getting rid of old flying.
Speaking of…
No you don’t.
