If multiboxers were such an issue, why not cap the amount of clients running at once?

Who’s arguing with themselves? O.o

Targ was since he wasn’t reading what I replied with.

30 accounts sitting in AH, and the same person owns them all- to what end?

Are you totally nuts? think about what you are saying…

How is that proof of anything other than a bunch of characters having the same or similar names? I have at least a couple dozen characters on this one account, all with the exact same name. That doesn’t make me a bot.

Oh, believe me, the hacks team works their asses off. If you’re reporting people repeatedly and nothing is being done, that would tend to indicate that no rules are being violated, and there is nothing to punish.

The bot program plays the game for the person. The person doesn’t even have to be anywhere near the pc lol. At least with boxers they had to actually be pressing buttons/playing the game, even with multibox software.

I think the CPU processing power limits how many bots can be ran more than anything else.

Just some basic facts between the deference’s of Muti-boxing and bots.

If a person lets call him Bill wants to Multi-box. Bill will have to first purchase a separate Recurring Subscription account for each Character he wants to have. That’s the basic game. Then Bill has to purchase separately
the Expansions he wants to have foe each separate account. So as you can see depending on the number of characters Bill wants to control, this is going to be very expensive.

Bill can then either open up several Instances of Wow on one computer and have a separate Window for each instance of Wow running on his pc. Bill will be limited with how many characters he controls by how many Instances of Wow his computer can run.

Or Bill can run each separate account and several separate computers.

Now. Here’s the gist of it: Bill will have to do all the work of controlling
each character himself. this is not automated. Each time he wants his tank to attack he must make a click on his mouse or press a key on his keyboard.
But he must also switch screens to do so. So it works like this: click on tank’s window. Then click on Tanks Attack key. Then Click on his Healers Window and Click a healing spell. As you can see, this becomes a real pain; the more characters Bill attempts to control the harder it is going to get until Bill is sitting there sweating profusely.

There are some 3rd party programs that help streamline the process. But Bill will be doing all the work in controlling each character separately himself.

This is the way Multi-boxing works for the average gamer interested in it. It can be interesting and entertaining. But not really worth all the headache and expense. Most multi-boxers have only one extra account with one extra character to play with.

Now onto Botting: This is where some one uses a third party program to fully automate his extra characters into operating fully autonomously so that the person in some cases doesn’t even have to be at his keyboard. Botting is against the rules of Wow ULA. And if detected or reported the account will be banned.

To give you an idea what botting really is; The Wow game does it, itself. As an example of real official game run bots just look at the Pet Classes we have in wow. What do you think the hunters fighting pets are? Well they are fully computer controlled A.I Bots. So are the Warlocks Pets. and Mages Mirror Images. Also at times your character will be joined by quest/mission A.I. computer controlled characters. Those are bots.

Finally as you can see; Multi-boxers are being unfairly confused with illegal Botters. And Real Botters are Banned and rare.

the Hate Botters get is because of many other past games they ruined. Especially what were called the Chinese Gold Farmers (other countries did the same thing) These so called Chinese Gold Farmers where practically Game hackers. They did it to acquire in game gold and item to sell on internet sites for real money. But Wow erased them from the picture by selling Wow Tokens for real cash.

In fact: all of the Wow game NPCs you see in the game world are bots as well as all the enemy monster mobs are
Wow created bots. A bot is an Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) Computer controlled Character.
In the general term of course.

The deference is between Bots Officially created and controlled by the Wow game program. Bots that have been hacked illegally by Hackers changing aspects of the Wow game program. And Multi-boxers who just run several Official Wow Accounts and game instances to control several characters to use in the game world together.

I hope this will help some of you understand that Wow Multi-boxers are just harmless people having fun at there own expense.

  1. the price of legendaries is extremely high.
  2. multiboxers make mats worthless.
The first one is true so the second one must be false or the first statement would not exist.

Where’s the hypocrisy?
