what do you mean?
Im all for competing for resources, personally, but ‘to a key’ ?
Can already think of 20 diff ways around this
They dont have any proof, Im betting. lol.
they see some guild dump old mats they dont need on the AH and assume its bots, lol.
they trashed the Ghost Iron Ore price on my server a long while back and ruined my little gold making runs, but it is what it is. There are way too many things to make butt loads of gold in this game for me to scream about one or two of them not working.
My guess is some go in thinking they are owed X gold per mat they farm and if they dont get that, they start screeching BOTS!. lol
I got called a bot in chat once a few years back over flipping on the AH. lmao.
An in-game macro to gather from nodes instead of mouseover+click to save a bit of time.
cheaters do what they do well. There likely isnt any way to get rid of boxers or bots entirely. If there were, one would think the bots would have been gone for at least a decade by now.
Boxers arent harming anyone. I can see restricting how they play so it has less impact on other players, but to think that if the boxers were gone that mat X is going to be 300g each is absurd.
The second the price is high enough 1000 non boxers will be out there farming it till it aint worth it again.
ah. I see.
i think i remember someone bringing up something like that on this forum or over on wowhead in the comments on something.
Cheap mats also means anyone else farming them on a single character = worthless and minimal profit.
and?
I make oodles doing everything but farming mats.
No it wouldn’t
“Oh no, I can only start one wow client at a time, what will I do?”
I know! buy more PCs
People botting the AH would have even lower standards for pc performance than a multiboxxer.
There is nothing Blizz can do to stop something from happening.
How do you post proof on the forums without being banned for calling other players out? I’ve found at least 30 accounts with the same username logged in all day long. If you want a list of the names, post your discord and I’ll send it to you. I’m not getting banned just because you want to bait me into breaking the forum rules.
take the screenshot and take a basic editing tool and mark out their names.
How does that prove anything if you can’t read their names?
Cause if they are doing the activity you claimed they are doing we could at least see what the activity. Sounds like you got quite a few of em though in that picture so I wouldn’t even bother posting it and going through all that.
You can directly send the screenshot or videos to hacks@blizzard.com too if you suspect someone of cheating.
Edit: I also posted the original comment when your first comment was just
That’s why I said what I did but you tacked on all the other stuff after words.
They’re sitting in a zone where no one can see what they’re doing, running an auction house bot all day. It’s not like me screenshotting a username on my friends list or recording my auctions being sniped within a seconds of posting them is going to provide substantial evidence for the bot defenders we have here.
Oh Harvest, you’re just upset because someone sniped your auction! That’s not a bot, you’re just being a big crybaby!
If it was on one server, sure, even two I wouldn’t have noticed. This is on 30 of the most populated na servers, all day and all night.
I envy you. Never saw that properly in a theatre.
Back to this…yeah vm’s bypass limits. also the preferred way. VM’s you can better setup limits. If client gets greedy for resources…it can only hog up what you gave the VM.
Like eve where I was a heavy boxer you don’t need to give the best things to tag along instances. What is the least “video card” you need to put in? Put that one in. VM runs, barely, off say 3 gb or ram? Barely is good enough, 3gb of RAM it is.
How I multiboxed eve. Main client got the goodies. Boxers? If I could have had the option to make them go 8 bit mode…I’d have taken it lol. your add on clients don’t need high speed graphics.
Just report the things and send it in. If you think the evidence won’t do anything, posting it here does what…? Send it to the email and blizzard can look at it and take care of it and right click report them in game.
It goes away from your original topic that you originally posted. You need to send it to hacks@blizzard.com and right click report them so it can be taken care of accordingly.
Also if it’s down in booty bay, I already know the spot and I’ve sent in stuff on that already with videos and screenshots. I bot bust all the time and the screenshots and videos being sent in do in fact do something.
Also editing your posts makes it very difficult to communicate with you.
I don’t believe hacks@blizzard does anything. I’ve sent in reports on other people who have been running the same trade scam since I started in 2017. The scam is still going on to this day and the same person is spamming it in trade, no matter how much evidence I send in. You have too much faith in Blizzard to actually take out the cheaters.
I’m restructuring sentences, not changing the words to make you look bad. If you don’t want me to make my sentences more clear, then don’t engage with the post.
It’s not in booty bay, you have no idea what’s going on. You’ll probably never notice this character unless it’s pointed out to you, which I have no problem doing outside of the forums.
And what does that prove exactly? That at least 30 people have nothing better to do then sit on the AH all day?
You do realize that most goblins have secondary accounts to sit on the AH while they play on their main account, right?
It’s the same person. If you want to have a dumb argument with yourself, feel free to continue to do so.
Ok… so if that’s the case report them in game? I’ve reported botters before and I later got in game mail from a GM thanking me and saying they took action. If you’re right, I hope they do get them. If you report and nothing happens perhaps, just maybe, you’re wrong.
