If Dragonflight has borrowed power in it

While everyone had the ring and cloak in MoP and WoD they still felt special. Legiondaries and shadowlands legendaries have felt somewhat hollow in comparison. They’re more like Ashen verdict ring type item that has a special proc rather than a legendary. I’d almost prefer if they marked them as artifacts rather than legendaries because they just dont scream legendary.

Explain done correctly? Are they static and never changing, or do they change? If they change and we get new powers, how do you correctly remove old powers? And if we’re adding and removing powers to the talent system wouldn’t they be “borrowed”?

And how do you award them? It is an MMO with a monthly sub. Level cap and presto, you’re done, isn’t going to work. Not with how quickly we level.

What if instead of “borrowed power” it becomes a “given power” to us?

Since it is speculated that there will be no leveling.

If that is the case, then getting empowered would replace the leveling experience.

They sold Legion Legendaries as the “return to finding powerful epics as world drops”. The problem is, when you found an epic as a world drop in vanilla/TBC you felt happy because even if you couldn’t use it, you could still sell it. In Legion, you either felt relieved because its one you needed or horror because you just got a dumpster legendary and you’re locked out of getting any more. The Shadowlands ones are just a nonsense grind to force you to rerun content/torghast for materials. Blizzard should just go back to how Legendaries were at the end of Wrath and let you build up currency for them simply by playing the game.

your power level cant surpass Billy’s. he is paying his $15/month too. (well, his mom is). How do we keep you feeling accomplished without leaving Billy behind?

It was absolutely demoralizing having 1 legendary in legion that was absolutely the creme de la creme and you didnt get it until you had every other one. It completely soured the experience for me.

Yeah, if only people had told them in beta that their system was asinine and counter productive to their stated goals…oh wait.

Way to go opening more ideas for Blizzard :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I was on the beta forums saying it was an absolutely awful set up. It was the start of the devs refusing to acknowledge the playerbase in any capacity and they still haven’t learned from that.

I hate to tell you what the key feature is next expansion

They’ve actually been getting worse about it for years. But yeah, it hit a fever pitch in Legion and hasn’t let up.

one-time payment unlock skips?

HYPERLUL PRESENCE.

We’re either leveling up the same systems indefinitely or we’re not.

You think if all we had for the last three expansions was just more levels of the legion artifacts that would be less lazy? Devs would get raked over the coals if they did that. And then there’s the problem of these systems being tied to the story.

Did it during the BfA and Legion Betas too and they will do the same for the next beta.

Not only that but sometime between 9 months and 1 year into the expansion , they will not only give us flying but will also go "We should of listened to the beta " then give us their monkey pawed version of what we were asking for during the beta.

You said they need to change between these systems because they become “unmanageable”, but now your saying its because sticking with one system is lazy. You’re talking out of both sides of your mouth. The fact of the matter is, is that the change in paradigm from having a fully complete character with passives, talents, and glyphs inherent to the character towards a rotating set of borrowed power abilities has been the single worst change the game has ever gone through, Bar none.

I don’t care about your dumb hypotheticals or whether or not its unmanageable or lazy. Borrowed power is a moronic system and anyone defending it is similarly moronic.

It will. That’s WoW’s go to right now.

And its destroying the game. Only a fool would not see the writing on the wall after the last six years.

that’s longer than the lifespan of most MMOs.

It literally makes me not want to play the game until the final patch because I don’t want to be upset watching them completely ignore feedback until things hit the breaking point. It’s so unbelievably frustrating because I love this game more than any other and the devs are just ruining it because of their holier than thou attitudes.
