If Collector's Edition owners get their pets, then let us have Murky

those are BC items. Murky was from 2005. The vanilla CE pets were from earlier, and are already included.

Murky, and the vanilla CE pets should be the only 2

Hopefully Blizzard will clarify what they are doing with regards to items like these. With CE pets being allowed, I would think they would follow suit with other similar items that were around in vanilla but not obtainable in-game. A scenario where Blizzard hand picks items they want to allow seems extremely biased and unclear.

Murky and the CE pets are about the only two that belong in WoW classic.

As much as i’d selfishly like TBC TCG items, they don’t belong.

Murky and vanilla CE pets, however, are part of the vanilla experience and 100% belong. Especially now that we know vanilla CE pets are in classic; i’d really like and am hoping we can get blizz to allow Murky too

They already quoted that the CE pets were definitely a part of some players “Classic” experience. This statement can easily apply to Murky.

As long as it’s from a code and is unobtainable in-game through any other means, I don’t see any reason why Blizzard would need anymore clarification. These 2 criteria should be telling enough.

Blizzard really has set a precedent and i’m sure they are aware of it.

I really hope Blizz just comes out and says people with Murky, like the vanilla CE, will have him in classic.

There are multiple threads about this and the silence is really kind of worrying for us (few) Murky owners left.

I don’t want to give up hope that Murky will join me in WoW classic for years to come, too. Come on Blizz, don’t let me down…

So far all three CE pets and Murky should be included as they were Vanilla account-wide unlockable pets.

As for the TCG items I’ve done some research and It’s true you had to enter the TCG items via the website but that would then generate another code to then give to Landro Longshot which WAS in the game as of 1.12.1 [11/30/2006] (also confirmed on another forum on July 6 2006).

The problem is all the first three items from the first expansion ‘Heroes of Azeroth’ prior to the TBC one called ‘Through the Dark Portal’ were one character only. This means that Landro Longshot SHOULD be there and new unscratched cards SHOULD be redeemable (for one character per code) but existing codes should’ve only been for one character.

If Blizz aren’t going to allow Landro to redeem new codes (at least from the first expansion) then I think they should allow the Hippogryph Hatchling pet to be transferred into Classic as it is now account-wide and was available in Vanilla. =)

If TCG Codes fall under this precedent I see two ways Blizzards can go with this:

  1. They don’t add Landro Longshot to the game and only players that redeemed the TCG code will have the loot unlocked on all their Classic characters.

  2. They do add Landro Longshot and if you redeemed a TCG code in the past you can unlock the loot only for 1 character on your entire account.

All TCG loot has to be from veteran codes. Imagine if every person from retail had the Riding Turtle when they gave it away free from fishing in Garrisons, or people buying TCG dupes from the Auction house that they never even owned in Classic.

And yes I will be giving my Riding Turtle to my level 1 bank alt again =)

Again, as much as i’d selfishly like my TBC TCG items, they aren’t really part of the vanilla/classic experience.

Murky and the vanilla CE pets, were, and should both be included and that’s it IMHO.

Anything past that is kinda altering vanilla, but both Murky and those CE pets were part of vanilla from early on, and deserve to be included.

Blizzard’s silence on the Murky topic is troubling, and a bit heartbreaking. i’d really like it if Murky joined me in classic but the longer the silence on this front goes on, the more my hope is kinda diminishing

I used to park my character at Ironforge bank just to let people watch Murky dance and they would wait a good while to see it too!! While I know Pet Collectors are a super small minority in this game and even smaller back in Classic, but if this could be added somehow you would make this Humble Old Time Pet Collector and others eternally grateful.

I had made another thread about this before I saw this one and like many of you all I am asking for is something that was in game in Vanilla during the time period that is being presented as Classic. While this wasn’t my 1st pet I collected this was the moment that defined everything I’ve worked towards as a pet collector over the years. When pet battles was announced it was like I couldn’t get MOP fast enough knowing I could have my favorite pet on any toon I played now.

I still have my plane ticket stub and pictures from a disposable camera from that 1st Blizzcon. I even kept the taxi drivers business card that drove me to and from the hotel to the airport. When I went to the 2nd Blizzcon I called that taxi driver and he remembered who I was. He was so appreciative that someone from the opposite side of the country would call him 2 years after that i’ll never forget that experience. I remember playing Arathi Basin with premade characters in full High Warlord gear and the winners playing against Blizzard staff in the end. The American Gladiators style Joust game… I could go all day.

Thats what Blizzcon was all about, thats what sitting in Ironforge waiting for Murky to dance is about, and thats what Classic is about… Never forget those experiences.

Completely agree. Murky is a part of vanilla and belongs in Classic. There’s no two ways about it.

I’m really hoping Blizz ends the silence on the Murky front and gives us few Murky owners hope that he’ll join us in classic where he belongs.

Murky and the vanilla CE pets both belong in classic

Haha that Murky dance was the best. Always caught people’s attention… it was rare enough that when it happened it was like woah, but not so rare that it was never seen.

in live, you can use one of the pet mirror toys to look like Murky and /dance yourself to bring it out.

We really need to hear from Blizz soon on Murky. I haven’t given up hope that the lil guy will join us in classic where he belongs like the vanilla CE pets, and I know blizz has 101 things far more important on the classic end; but i admit the silence is kind of scary on this topic.

I’m starting to worry that Murky won’t get to join us in classic too :frowning: please blizz, let Murky in!

Never thought to do that with the mirror! Thnx for the tip!

No problem buddy. It does everything but the song. The dance is iconic and become a favorite of my raid. Whenever i do it, everyone uses the swap toy on me asap.

Really desperately hoping blizz addresses Murky and lets him into WoW classic.

He belongs in it.

Never knew that about the mirror haha.

The sole reason i grinded the mirror was for Murky dancing

glad i could help!

Seriously though, we need to keep pushing for an answer on the Murky front. He belongs in WoW classic with the vanilla CE pets too for those of us lucky enough to have him; but we are such a small minority of the wow (classic) population that our voices won’t get heard unless we keep asking about our Murky friend.

I really, desperately, hope someone at blizzard catches this thread and it doesn’t get swept under the rug. Murky belongs in WoW classic every bit as much as the vanilla CE pets. Please Blizz, give us a sign that Murky will join us in Classic. He belongs there, after all, and was part of the experience.

Blizz,

PLEASE GIVE US MURKY IN CLASSIC! I attended The first annual Blizzcon, and Murky is the adorable manifestation of the best trip of my entire life!!! We love Murky!!! <3 #ClassicMurky

I, too, attended that blizzcon (and the 09 one) and both times I drove from NC to CA because i have a flying phobia (i know, i know, but we’ve all got one right?)

It would mean a lot to have Murky back with me for Classic. He was part of vanilla and belongs in classic, too. There just aren’t that many of us Murky owners left so our voices can’t be heard :frowning:

I just really hope someone at Blizz classic HQ catches this thread and lets Murky in like the CE pets. Why not? He belongs with WoW Classic. Fingers crossed we’ll hear from them, but the silence is a bit scary. I know they have bigger fish to fry but i’m getting worried for Murky and classic

Good to see some other people who attended the first BlizzCon as well.

I think the only fair ask is to let people get those rewards again via purchase or whatever.
