Good to see other people supporting this as well. Us Murky owners are dwindling in numbers so it is somewhat hard to have our voices heard, but hopefully Blizzard takes notice!
I really appreciate the inclusion of the original CE pet in classic. Overnight my eBay listing more than quadrupled its bid. TY Blizzard! If only I had the foresight to have bought more editions way back when. Here’s hoping that BC is coming one day as well!
In-Game Shop
xDlate : Are you going to implement in-game shop or things like that?
Ion Hazzikostas : Definitely not at launch. We may down the line if it’s something that players want. When we say the shop I mean specifically only the services that were available in the original Classic period. Things like server transfers and race changes were available later in Classic. I could see a world in–let’s say a year into Classic–as realms have become mature where a player wants to transfer to a different server to join a guild there to play with their friends, and they want us to provide a way that can make it happen. That’s the sort of things we would do but no pets and mounts for sale or anything like that.
Pretty much confirms here Blizzard has no plans to sell pets, mounts, etc in a in-game shop.
and what better way to bring back the Classic feel these items gave us back in the day by allowing previous redeemed key owners to get them back at the correct time in the patch phases, just as it happened in Vanilla.
This is not anything to do with the cash shop, would you people who don’t understand please quit trying to twist the argument?
This is about MURKY. The blizzcon 05 pet FROM VANILLA WOW.
Not a cash shop, we aren’t looking for mounts… we just want Murky to re-join us in vanilla like before. The CE pets are here, so why not Murky too? Murky is iconic to vanilla WoW and it only affects like 20-50 people TOTAL in WOW.
If the CE pets are here, Murky should be too. He was part of classic and belongs there too for those of us lucky enough to still have him
Yeah, that’s the issue of why we aren’t getting a response IMO is that there are so few Murky owners left. Even the CE pet owners outnumber us 100 to 1.
Blizz, plz give us confirmation that Murky will be a part of WoW classic too for those of us who own the little guy
I think if the pets were available in 1.12 they should be memorialised via the account that they are attributed to which includes Murky. I have the Hippogryph Hatchling via the TCG but as much as I would love to have them I understand they weren’t available in 1.12 so don’t mind.
I have quite a few of TBC TCG items. i’d love to have them selfishly, but like you said they weren’t part of vanilla and don’t belong if i’m being honest.
Murky and the vanilla CE, however, were both part of vanilla and both belong in wow classic for those lucky enough to have them still on their account.
This would be a cool math problem ,i think there was what about a few hundred thousand CE sold?
Then what 3-5k people went to Blizzcon 2005?
Math and I are not really good friends, but i think it would be a few thousand to 1 :O)
yay I ran to BB and Landro is not there.
No one but Blizz knows the true numbers for how many CE and Murky’s are left.
They allowed the CE pets, i really hope to hear them say Murky will be part of wow classic too for those with him still.
I’m just hoping to see a blue response to this, Murky allowed, and the chat can go back to other WoW classic topics.
There is no reason for no Murky now that the CE pets are here
actually we do, only a certain number of each were sold/given out.
That would be a real interesting # to try and figure out.
I don’t know how many people were at BlizzCon back then, but it was a fraction of what it is now. BlizzCon 2005 only utilized a few of the convention center halls.
i believe the # of Murky’s was 5k or 10k total. I forget which.
Regardless, i think we are all (mostly) in agreement that Murky belongs in WoW classic like the CE pets. He was part of vanilla, he deserves to join us Murky owners again on the journey.
Yep I agree. Once I got Murky I never used any other pet haha… he was with me on all my adventures.
He’s the only pet i use. I desperately hope Blizz can confirm Murky will be part of Classic WoW just like the CE pets.
He was part of vanilla, after all, his code/vendor are in classic already so why not let those with Murky keep him?
I just hate the silence on this topic it’s worrying
CE and Murky is where I draw the line.
The Landro Longshot NPC wasn’t introduced until BC as a way to help streamline the code redemptions. Before that the loot codes were redeemable through the Blizzard website and would be mailed to your character in game. They definitely were in vanilla.
In that case I want my Hippogryph and Tabard lol =)
Give us the unarmored mounts blizzard… please.
