what? thats bs. i pre-ordered my collectors ed from best buy but when i went to get it on release day they told me they sold them all at the midnight release so i had to get a normal edition. i want them to resell collectors editions for classic so i can finally get the pets i was cheated out of years ago.
Oof, that’s a pretty presumptuous statement. If you’re just going to tell me what I think, you don’t need to keep going back and forth. Just tell it to yourself in your mind.
That’s fair, I just meant you couldn’t go to blizzcon for cheaper by “opting out” of Murky, the way that the game was cheaper if you didn’t get collectors edition.
Murky was originally only able to be claimed on one character, although at some point Blizzard did make it account wide. I think it should stay as a one character pet in Classic (as that how it was in the original WoW), but I don’t think it being a one character pet is a reason for it to be excluded from Classic. The Collector’s Edition pets were a one time thing as well… only one account could use the key for the Collector’s pets, and those pets were for retail WoW.
The argument that Classic is a separate game from retail was a valid one until Blizzard decided to give players their Collector’s Edition pets. These pets were for retail WoW but for some reason Blizzard has decided to move them over to Classic. The separate game argument is no longer valid.
So why should Murky not be allowed? I see only two fair and clear cut scenarios:
Treat Classic and retail as separate games and do not allow anything to cross over
Allow these no longer obtainable pets to cross over
There is no reason some should be included while others are excluded. Is Blizzard just going to pick and choose the ones they like? Why not just make a clear cut rule and allow everything or nothing?
