If Collector's Edition owners get their pets, then let us have Murky

just link your account to your mucloc pet then plz new codes only all old ones are no longer useable.

But i thought that was the rule though? It is ok as long as it was between 1.1 and 1.12?

All it is a small bonus for the very small amount of people who will actually have these pets.

the AQ bug mount was in vanilla why can’t 99% of the player base not get it? WAAAA WAAAA

I wonder how many of those outside of Ion are still active

I’ts hard to say since most got them in WOTLK with the bug blizzard did nothing about.

what about the olympics pet that was given out for winning a battleground during the Olympics that one year. I really think blizzard should just do new special addition pets. Just make them an off color of the old ones. I think that will make everyone happy

Completely agree and i made a similar post. Now that the CE pets are 100% confirmed, Murky should be as well.

There’s no reason why not; his code is already in the game as is his vendor, it’s also tied to the account like the CE pets, and it was FROM vanilla so leaving him out isn’t right to me IMO.

Please, Blizzard, include Murky and give us some info on this please! I know it’s low priority as there aren’t many Murky owners left any more but don’t forget about us…

The only thing that tied to the account is the FoS the CODE get’s you a pet. It does NOTHING for flagging your account.

all of my alts have Murky no problem and have for many years now.

If CE pets are here, no reason at all Murky shouldn’t be allowed too. Both should and should be celebrated as part of vanilla WoW.

Why the heck not?!

I say let them have Murky, who cares?

Why not just restore everyones account as it was before and then everyone can have all their progress restored. And I can resume the game where I left off.

I was going to make a joke post proposing that very thing! They could just drop what little TBC gear I had and I could pick up collecting my T2 set instead of having to start all over again from scratch, boo hoo, why does Blizzard hate us.

Murky is not obtainable in the game. That is the difference between it and other items. Collector’s pets are the same.

I cannot tell if people saying “this will lead to Blizzard giving us our old gear, etc. back” are trolling or do not see this difference.

The old pets shouldn’t be in WoW Classic

Hey, that’s the warlock’s job.

The 3 loot cards from the first WOWTCG expansion were vanilla too. Those should also be allowed.

“Heroes of Azeroth” released October 2006. The Burning Crusade pre-patch was December 2006. It without question falls in the vanilla 1.12 timeframe.

But they weren’t redeemable until BC though i think.

Due to the fact that Blizzard is allowing the Collector’s Edition pets, anything that was in the original WoW that is no longer obtainable should be granted to those who previously owned them. That is the only fair way. If not, it is just be Blizzard picking and choosing which to allow, nothing more than a bias with no clear cut rule to follow.

The other alternative is to not allow any of them at all, but, with Blizzard already confirming the Collector’s Edition pets, this option is no longer available.

To the best of my knowledge, the redemption NPC and the actual in game items were not added to the game until the TBC pre-patch, which was NOT vanilla.
