It’s not the spec It’s the mindset.
I’d ask for metasheep to be fixed but that ain’t happening either.
Instead of level 70 they should make talent points start at level 1
That I could get behind!
Or you could just go play retail.
That sentiment, while rude, makes sense for era. But they are talking about classic+. Which means changes.
I don’t personally like changes to talents or power creep. I would much rather have some of the missing stuff added in. Fill out itemization a bit. Maybe dungeon set 3 quests. T1 class quest weapons for every class. New dungeons or wings. More craftable or world boe stuff with relevant stats/effects.
I would like a new game but if the classic + is the leak that means expansion for classic with a different path then retail.
I would like Wow 2.0 with a better engine and reusing terrain and the endless amount of content they already have just reimagining it. Throw in some new models.
Give the horde some aesthetically pleasing races this time around.
Do everything you did for vanilla. But stay away from the bloat that has ruined the game.
I would also be happy with wow reawakened where they go back and reimagine wow in a different timeline or parallel universe or something.
Not anything like it has become now.
Would also love inflation control. A controlled market where you can’t mark things up past a cutoff for that rarity or something or some system pre thought to control bots and rmt and this gdkp auction raid item crap.
Either way anything related to classic wow getting something new is exciting.
Not meant to be rude. Resources should be in improving classic not making a new retail expansion with a classic spin. Just my personal opinion. I’d be about Classic+ if the old team was hired back to do it. But current Blizzard can only produce retail. So that’s what Classic+ would be.
pointless to argue with these idiots dude. they will never understand brains are to small
Louder for the people in the back!
Seriously, if they do this, I can’t wait for people to look at new gear sets from new 40-man raids and go “Well, this set sucks for Ret. Where’s the Ret set?!?”
See, thats what I’m thinkin too. I love class quests, we just need more of em.
AQ40 set is for Ret, its really good too.
Vanilla classic wasn’t more popular than TBC or WotLK classic though. Maybe for the first few weeks or so when classic first launched, but I don’t think it retained players as well as TBC or WotLK.
Most of the people that started playing it quit before getting to 60 because they didn’t enjoy it.
I think WotLKC is the most popular classic variant so far. I didn’t play it because I didn’t like the direction they were going when they announced they weren’t going to add the dungeon finder. I also find it odd how much they ended up changing later on after refusing to add the dungeon finder. More people on my friends list continue to play WotLKC though compared to original classic or Dragonflight. Not sure how it compared to TBC, a bunch of them played that for awhile as well.
Would very much look forward to classic+, but not interested in level 70 or a new continent. New zones for dungeon and raid content would be awesome. Changing existing zones to follow up on their existing story lines (or add new!) would be incredible. Add more class quests and rewards to help players diversify their builds for mid & end game. You can deliver on a tremendous experience worth player’s time without making any changes to the underlying systems. I would be delighted to see what new boss challenges the devs could concoct given how players have evolved.
You’re describing WoW 2.0, not Classic+
A new engine and a coat of paint wont fix anything after shadowlands… A turd is always a turd even if it is a shiny one.
That was kinda the point of tier 3 though. If you all achieved it, you were supposed to be legendary, if not un touchable. It would be more fun to add an island that makes use pf higher gear stats. Maybe not tier 3 but atleast 2 or 2.5
So, here’s the relatively easy way to design Classic+. Take most of the new zones that were added in Cataclysm and redesign them so that they fit the classic design style. You got Twilight Highlands and the Dragonmaw clan, you got at least one dungeon maybe more in Grim Batol. Mount Hyjal, Uldum, Tol Barad - you could even add in Kezan and The Lost Isles, but since I don’t want any new races added that’s probably just more work for them to fit it in and make sense.
Thinking about it more, if they added those zones in they’d have to basically throw out all of the existing quest lines and completely start over from scratch. It’s basically a whole new expansions worth of work and content. I know I would be willing to pay for it, but I can’t know if there’s a large enough audience for it. It might be better off to just release one new zone every three months or so as Classic+ progression.
Just ask Blizz to move forward from Wrath to Cataclysm. That’d cover your wants pretty well.
Cataclysm wasn’t horrible. The release heroic dungeons were challenging and fun. The pvp was great. The only down side was how long the content drought was. But arena kept the game fun regardless.
I think they need a solo 1v1 arena for classic + personally. That’s what I’d like to see. And obviously open up the unfinished zones/ very minor tuning to talents.
honestly adding solo queue arena and BGs would be great for cata classic.
