General chat is meant for the game. If you want to discuss politics I suggest going to fox news, CNN, MSNBC, or maybe some Proud Boys message board. Posting inflammatory content on a video game directed toward 13 year olds is trying to find trouble. blizzard should come out with a legit list (beyond politics) of stuff they actually consider reportable so someone cannot take advantage of the system.
there should be absolutely zero personal player opinion.
it should strictly be on blizzards end.

the point being that a persons subjective opinion should not be what factors into if someone is reported or not.
It doesn’t matter how the group is formed if a silenced player cannot use party chat or raid chat, does it?
But I am not arguing that those other things should be reportable. Unless they are occurring in a channel like /trade.
What kind of handholding do you need? You’re demanding blizzard write up a rule list so you can handle dealing with humanity? Dude you are playing the wrong type of game. You need something solo, because thats just not how the real world works. You shouldnt need a check list in front of you to interact. Just dont be rude, dont pick fights. No one is going to get you squelched if you handle yourself like a normal adult.

but you are defending a broken system that not only can be abused, but people have said they plan to abuse.
That list is drastically different that the link that Padrepwn linked.
Why would you want to talk politics when playing WoW? You can easily minimize the game and log on to your favorite message board to do so.

yah he linked what they posted back in 2016 i think, this is right from the support article.
no, i want blizzard to take subjective opinion out of it. i should not get silenced based on the opinions of other people alone. if blizzard comes along and deems what i have done warrants me being silenced, so be it. but with as many people have already stated that they intend to use right click report as a form of ignore, I DO NOT WANT AUTO SILENCE to be something players can trigger.
Come on man, really? Does blizzard really need a list of everything they consider out of bounds? Is there really that sever a lack of personal responsibility in the world these days?
If you scream the F word in the middle of a school play and your mother wallops you, does she also need to give you a list of other words she doesn’t want you to yell in a school play?

so how do they go about forming a group in the first place?
Then go play a different game. If you dont feel you can be adult enough not to warrant being silenced you really dont belong playing an MMO.
The list that Padrepwn linked is what I was referencing. The list that you just posted is drastically different than that list.
