If auto-silence is in classic i wont be buying it

Just like these threads. Lol
Here guys let me put this ta bed for ya:

Note the right hand column of the things you can do while silenced. Yeah. This won’t affect grouping like is being claimed. Js.

Padre rides out as the latest logic bomb explodes in the distance behind him in a mushroom cloud of reason

so you’re actually condoning the abuse of a system because you don’t like what someone has to say. got it.

that tells me all i need to know about you.

the report feature is not there because you disagree with someone. it is there for violations of rules.

That’s what you can do with the Silence not the squelch players can dish out.

What about /s and /y? The announcement doesn’t cover them.

Well now do the leg work and show us they are different. Instead of just saying it’s the end if the world with no proof. I’m not doing all the work. Jeez.

Public channel. Don’t need those to group with friends either.
Don’t need them in group because you can use /p and /r. Plus voip is more efficient to begin anyways.

But if you want to join a group with someone other than your friends, you’re screwed.

Are ya? Have a friend whisper them and tell them to /inv so and so. Or is that an exploit work around?

That’s fair, assuming your friends are online.

Whole lot of assuming going on here. Lol.

You still do not get it.
There is zero, absolutely ZERO, reason to bring anything political (beyond in-game politics) into in-game public channels but to get reactions. That is the very definition of trolling.

  • Calls people thin skinned
  • Concern trolls that he is being “insulted”

If you walked into a strangers funeral and began spamming jokes while the service was happening, I can pretty much guarantee you would be tackled and then arrested.

There is a time and place for everything. Apparently you do not believe it applies to you and powerbottom.

ANd guess who makes those standards… The PC MOB!! Its mob rule my friend by any other name. The so called civil standards seek to silence those with differing opinions and beliefs than the MOB over lords. Good luck with your mob rule because it wont end well.

Maybe on an rp server maybe, but other than that people can speak of any topic they want. As long as they’re not breaking official rules. It is possible to have a discussion without trolling. If players lack the maturity to accept that, then they can simply ignore people.

I love how the trolls are all suddenly calling you a child, hoping to get a forum vacation and become forum martyrs.
“See the violence inherent in the system!”

Not unlike all of the examples that have been put forth by the anti right click crowd.

Context actually means something. Your whole " joke" thing is just that, a joke.

in any of your posts!

Seriously tho, the lack of awareness and just flat out ignorance you are displaying is pretty impressive. You’ve spent many an hour honing your skills I bet.

There’s something I can agree with. I treat political discussion and religion same as the work place. But it is subjective and not a rule as far as I know. And there’s no rule that says general chat must be on the topic of the game.

If it’s civil, let them talk. You don’t like a viewpoint…?

Can you guess what I’m going to say next?

Keep beating that impotent drum and tilting at the windmill. It has nothing to do with opinions or beliefs.

Blizzard clearly sees politics as trolling. I myself was given a forum vacation for simply REPLYING to someone talking about our current president, and my response was a dig at the last one. When I asked why I was actioned they clearly told me that they see politic talk as trolling, full stop.
