If auto-silence is in classic i wont be buying it

I am perfectly happy using whatever tool blizzard hands me to combat it. Don’t want your in-game day ruined by a squelch? Play the game and leave your political trolling at the door.

It has NOTHING to do with humor.

Are you denying the fact that the system can and will be abused daily?

Welcome to the real world jurikeh? i dont think you know what “innocent till proven guilty” actually means.

If a man was found with a gun over a dead body, they would be arrested, and held until found either innocent or guilty. Yes innocent till proven guilty, but they are being held for the safty of the local community. If they cannot find sufficient evidance to link them to the murder, they will then let them go, if they do, then to court, and then well innocent or guilty there.

welcome to the real world.

partial ban? its literally just a few hours till a gm can sort stuff out, and you can still play the game…

also putting ninjas on a server wide blacklist is pretty “mob justice”

if your type of humor will get you 20+ reports i think you need to go to a therapist.

cause again, its not like 1 person not liking your joke is gunna get you instantly silenced… this system only stops people who are being huge enough problems to cause lots of people to report.

I have seen absolutely zero evidence of anything “game ruining” about it. Unless you believe that the right click report feature is what is bringing down BFA.

Your understanding of basic legal principles and law enforcement is elementary. You are out of your depth and its a bit embarrassing just reading your posts.

Should I literally disarm everyone (literally remove their arms) because on occasion someone gets punched?

Thought Police, open the door! You’ve had a little too much to think!

These threads all remind me of that meme now LOL.

Except that is how it works…?
innocent till proven guilty is not exact, it does not mean if a police officer shows up to a crime scene to a dude with a chainsaw covered in blood, he is not allowed to arrest the man…

except its not thought police… you are literally saying things, so its not thought police, its word police.

You don’t see the videos of a few players all reporting one player to kick them offline? Or the concept of someone having his guild report someone to silence them from trying to sell items in trade so they cant sell certain items?
Or simply because someone dislikes you so much for ganking their character in gurubashi for hours that they again have their whole guild silence you so you cant talk in game?

These are all things that will happen in Classic if the system is put in. If you don’t see that then there is no way to try and making you see what is obvious.

If you are going to try to be the Semantics Police at least use a factual argument.

You already have an option to ignore. You don’t need the option to silence a person temporarily.

can you come up with an argument? cause its not semantics, they are VERY different things, and if you dont understand that, you have a problem.
“I got arrested for thinking about mudering my boss!!!”
what!?
“I mean really i did murder him, but thats just semantics”
its not semantics, you cant just change what something means…

It takes less than 10

I see a lot of hearsay and some manufactured idiocy messing with the system.

now what would you rather have?
200 people have to /ignore a dude, on every one of his chars as he makes a new one to spam every few mins?
or just 20 people report and then he is silenced until a gm can handle him?

You just tried to do it yourself. You do not have a clue what Thought Police even means. LOL

You don’t seem to know what arrest, charge and convict actually mean. You are clearly ignorant on this topic.

can you link these? please? i would love to see this!
also again, yes you can do these targeted raids, but then it removes your capability to do so again in the future…
i dont think you understand the story of the boy who cried wolf…
