You could just stay in that area down the hill from the portal to get your souls. There’s not much of a threat in that area and the souls quickly respawn. It’s not like you’re being forced to go into PH or the BWs.

This, totally. There is actually one rock that I stand by just past the Oribos portal down the hill. Break the rock, get the soul. The rock respawns in like 10 seconds. Break the rock, get the soul. Repeat. That is literally all the time I spend in the Maw each week.

If what I posted was just about the worst thing you’ve ever read, then you haven’t read much at all. I never said it was “painfully boring”, it’s unpleasant. There’s a difference. I also never said “it’s not supposed to be fun”. What I said was, in short, the Maw is imperfect and yes, there are some things I don’t like about it. But it’s not as bad as folks here are making it out to be. It’s just not. You’re entitled to your opinion, but it’s just your opinion.

Most players do not need sockets on their gear. They will be able to clear normal and even heroic nathria and clear +15’s with or without sockets.
