I once did 0 damage in a BFG that I was there start to finish in. I sat alone at LH the whole time and no one tried me. We won.
Low damage/heals sometimes = Not a problem
Low damage/heals consistently = Yeah, that’s why you are losing a lot
There’s not even a debate to be had here. It’s as obvious as fire being hot or water wet.

100% agree here. Occasionally it will happen.

I don’t think anyone is arguing about overall team damage. We are saying that you cannot tell, just by someone’s damage, what they are doing in that bg, if they are just farting around or if they are pushing objectives.
With a rogue, it is very difficult to tell just by damage. He/she could have been base sitting, she/he could have spent almost the entire bg keeping the healers cc’d. Even on my hunter, I have been known to do almost nothing besides hounding the healer, keeping them cc’d and away from their team.
And that is just one thing to take into consideration when looking at overall win/loss rates. There are so many factors involved, not to mention at least 9 other people doing whatever they are doing, in every single battle, that just making a blanket statement that one persons damage is the cause of a low winrate is ridiculous.

It’s not ridiculous at all.
It is extremely ridiculous. Because in order to lay the sole blame on one persons damage in a bg with at least 9 other players , particularly when you do not personally run bgs with that person is nothing more than trying to throw the blame away from a situation that many would not like seeing the light of day.

I queue mostly epics, which makes me only 1/40th in total influence. But sure, it’s all my fault.

Exactly, It is preposterous to accuse someone of being the primary reason of a loss.

What situation are you talking about?
If you are one of the people who still tries to kill Galv during the opening push then I would say that influence spikes up lol

And what do you do in those epics? AV I can see since your job is to harass south towers, which most rogues don’t.
Nope, I’m always begging them not to while half the team pours into his building. Horde wipe them all, and that’s the ball game.

I’ve actually noticed lately they don’t go to Galv. Alliance finally caught on after 6 months.

Exactly right, I’m usually getting my rear handed to me in south towers cause no one else bothers to help.
Confirmed, we always have half a dozen or so stealthers trying to team fight it up when they could be easily flipping south and disrupting the horde defense
So maybe try staying with the team and harass healers. The games where we summoned Ivus is actually when stealth didn’t go south. If something isn’t working for you, switch it up.

What’s ridiculous, if you re-examine the SS, is a 44k damage in nearly 7 minutes in a tok or a near 20 min AV with 0 damage. Both losses. Of the 9 wins shown, in 5 there was a lot higher damage than the average. In the 21 losses, only 6 showed higher than 700k damage. There’s a correlation here at least.
If what you are doing is what you are convinced is the right thing to do but is not working, then you need to reevaluate what you think is right. There might be something you aren’t seeing or understanding. There is a lot of low damage games in his SS, it probably is a matter of doing things differently.
Certainly worth exploring and certainly worth pointing out.

You know Squeek, you’re a smart lil gnome
7min in Tok and 44k damage. Nope not ops fault for that one.
They were running around using bandage.
Tbf, some of them look like in progress BGs, like that one. But come on now, under 1 million dmg in most BGs isn’t very good. At ilvl 370, even as a rogue, should be able to pump out some good dmg.
