yea i think mail and leather are not made for warrior. I cant wait for the pvp phase and destroy all those silk made warrior.

Fair enough.

I started tanking Arena runs at 52, and it dropped for me at 52. I think it was my 5th run or so (less than 25th) that evening.

For reference, when forming the group, I stated to classes who may care, prior to inviting them that I would be rolling for it, and also made note of that in party chat, that it was “what I was going for.”

Nobody seemed to care or mind. But, as some people also seem to think that one should state roles one is wishing to roll for, I would point out that for a warrior, that shouldn’t be necessary, as it’s not only pre-bis or bis for DPS, but also for tanking.

You do not have to agree (or disagree) with me on this, there are lists available online to search for yourself. If you disagree with them, that is fine, please post the research and/or logic and/or claims yourself:

Logic and a bit of critical thinking really. Wowhead’s Lists are pretty unreliable, with the simcraft on some items being fairly suspect, and in some cases flat out easily verifiable as wrong, because numbers.

For example, multiple healers in Phase 1 were chasing:

Here are the stats on those:
+9 Intellect

+22 Healing

Meanwhile…

It’s pretty clear WoWhead is wrong on face here.

Now with DM, they purport:

And still they would be wrong, unless they’re taking things like survivability into account, and weighing 2 stam over 3 spirit.

If that were the case though, then the +8 int from Ogreforge should 100% give it more value, but it’s not listed at all, even though Deathdealer is listed, which is objectively weaker than Ogreforge.

I’m a prot spec warrior tank and I would absolutely roll on the savage chain if if it dropped. And i know that any pug hunter, ret, or dps warrior would be pissed about it. But tanking is more threat than defense these days and if a dps warrior is angry about it, then they shouldn’t have rolled a class with such high population and gear competition. Also, it’s not f’n hard to tank arena runs as any warrior spec.

If this was a warrior tanking literally no person would care if they rolled on the item. No one. Speaking of other pleb warriors, they will roll on any item. Even leathet agi or int weapons. The majority pf warrior tanks feel entitled to it. If someond elsr rolls on stuff they throw a hissy fit like s child.

I Had enough people rolling on Drac deflector. Either some fresh geared o/t or fury wars etc.

All is fair in love and loot. I intend to play arms so ill be gearing myself and that means fury wars can take a jump.

Exactly. It’s funny how so many non warrior players expect warriors to be full 31 points into prot just for their little dungeon run, despite it being common knowledge that prot sucks outside of tanking. None of the 5 mans need a single point in prot.
