Sounds like a you problem. My alt warrior who I forgot to even link to r. io for like the first week and a half (thus main progress wasn’t inherently shown) got into normal pugs without linking anything. Got into 2 heroic pugs without linking AotC. The groups didn’t make it far probably because of it but I did get invited.
Yes it is. I play mostly for M+, and sometimes PvP, and the reliable way to get azerite gear is through residuum. When I open weekly chest I don’t hope for good azerite piece, and then say “Oh well I’ll use residuum if I don’t get a good one”, because as you may know, chest no longer drops azerite, so residuum is in fact source of azerite gear. And it’s in no way bad luck protection, people get same piece 2-3 times in row.
I didn’t think it was even this. It’s just a means of giving M+ players access to Azerite gear since it doesn’t drop from the dungeons themselves.
It has some bad luck protection elements, but imo it barely counts as BLP.
I got the same Gore-Splattered Vest three times in a row.
You can get titan residue from:
scrapping azerite gear 370 and above obtained from PvP, Warfronts Quest or Winning reward,Emissary Quests, Mythic Dungeons,LFR/Normal/Heroic and mythic Battle for Darzalor, around 270 to 300 weekly by doing the Island of Expedition quest which grants the special weekly mission (you might obtain the titan residue from the regular mission itself or from the BONUS from said mission +the weekly chest around 200-300 for +9 or 600+ for a +10 key).
So to answer the OP you can indeed get Titan residue outside mythic.
So OP doesnt really do any content and is mad he cant get azerite gear…I wonder what would help him get azerite gear.
By time I get enough for a 415 item the next raid will be out giving better gear and make them useless.
That’s because you dont do the content that rewards 415 azerite or probably even normal raids that reward 385 azerite.
The TR isnt a system for casuals to get mythic azerite it’s so people that actually play the high level content will be able to buy azerite pieces if they get bad rng this is something the OP fails to understand.
I do normal and heroic BOD. Prob also cause I give others gear I don’t need. I guess I could always just hoard the items…
Sure it is.
Honestly if your doing normal an heroic bod an your mythic 10 every week there is literally no reason you shouldn’t have multiple pieces of 415 azerite by now
I have not seen an azerite piece drop in multiple runs since the residuum changes. Do azerite pieces drop anymore in M+?
I am awake.
@Emopicklez
RNG is still a constraint even if I did do the content.
Azerite doesn’t drop in M+ anymore. You get the residuum in your weekly chest based on the highest completed key in the previous week (the amount of residuum scales beyond the m+10 where the gear stops scaling).
You go to the ethereal and spend in on the m+10 azerite source (random ilevel for a specific slot or way a lot more for a specific piece). This is the m+ azerite source now.
Here’s how I read this:
“This game’s content isn’t meant to be easily consumable if I’m remembering correctly. Raid if you want to do anything meaningful in this game. Or if you don’t want to, well then, that’s on you.”
Except that it’s not really on me. I already cancelled my sub and am eight days away from saying goodbye to WoW for the foreseeable future. I honestly won’t miss the game, and I’ll have 15 bucks extra a month to spend on something that’s actually fun. I assure you that Blizzard will miss me more than I will miss them.
50% of a reward would be a huge improvement over what we have now, which is basically 0% of a reward.
They did that in WotLK, and it worked out fine. It wasn’t stupid; subs were at an all-time high. When they backtracked in early Cataclysm and decided to lock all the high end mats and tier tokens behind raids, subs plummeted. They eventually relented, but the damage was done. Now they’ve doubled down on that failed strategy. For some reason you find that smart.
Yeah, but many of us don’t want to block out several hours of uninterruptible time for a group of random strangers on the internet. We have friends and family with whom we’d rather do stuff IRL. I want to be able to log on for an hour to an hour and a half a night and see meaningful progress on my character. I was able to do that back in WotLK. I haven’t been able to do it since.
In an hour to hour and a half you can run 1-2 keystone dungeons, possibly get an upgrade if they’re high enough (8-10+ based on your item level) and be guaranteed 620-whatever TR plus a 400-410 item the following week. That is progress – it might not be instant gratification – but it is progress.
I liked a lot of Shamrond’s posts. I just felt like it since he did the favor to me too.
