and yet everyone defending it here is doing so on the basis that it’s just free speech and this is what the market demands. isn’t that weird?
I just found this part of your OG comment humorous:
Because Acti-Blizzard is a singular entity and if you step one foot into a COD lobby, you’ll see it is absolutely rampant with racism/discrimination. Nothing is ever really done, so it’s MUCH more toxic than WoW will ever be even with this addon (though this addon needs to go ASAP).
So I’m just saying either they truly don’t care about player behavior unless it’s cheating or they are incompetent at moderating their games.
so your theory is that the Chinese government wrote this addon?
OK, now I know this whole thing is fake. Everybody knows no dev has ever once stepped foot into the forums
I suppose this is as good a point as any… there is actually a policy and procedure for dealing with Addons that potentially violate ToS or EULA
I play both modern warfare and cold war. I can just mute whoever talks crap anytime. Plus, it doesn’t have a system to exclude players based on discriminatory un-moderated opinions. It’s a completely different scenario.
WHAT??? ?? ? ? okay
Sounds like you are angry with a system Blizzard implemented and are choosing to take it out on players.
And I’m not going to explain it again. I’ve already talked about how frustrating the faction imbalance is, already talked about how I also play Alliance, and already mentioned how I don’t believe any of those things make it right to remove someone just for mercing. Especially if they are playing accordingly.
Sure, but why do people always go to the stupidest solution that can’t stand up to 3 seconds of scrutiny? If I can beat that system in moments, so can other people.
It isn’t the system that is killing players on 3 or 4 to 1 and preventing people from using a system…it’s the players. So, yeah, while yes…the system is stupid…the players also make it worse, and we can’t take action against the system but can the players. If they don’t want to deal with it…well I have the SAME response those players tell the alliance complaining about WM and getting ganked by the many bands of 40 players: Don’t use the system if you don’t like dealing with it.
If you are going to remove mercs from your battleground instances because you’re angry about something that happened in world PvP before the instance, then you’re contributing to the problem.
Apparently many people can’t because they are removed before they can try. I’d argue the same with world PvP if you’re going to use that train of thought. If you don’t like world PvP, don’t use it. I don’t find that a solution, but at least you and I will be on the same page, right? Let’s punish other players because we are angry about something. That sounds beneficial.
Are you opposed to Alliance players mercing?
Yep. Not that it happens frequently…We either need to just get rid of factions entirely…or ensure they are separated. Middle ground just favors some but not others
That might be true, but it’s not your job to punish those players for using an in-game system.
We get punished for using the system, or trying to, and human nature is to give punishment back when you feel wronged to any you can. If we could give to blizz, trust me we would. Until then, Horde players won’t get any sympathies. Just how it is. If the shoe was on the other foot, the horde would do the same thing. Heck horde players still complain over the fact alliance gets a weekly, but there also isn’t alliance players…and its all the hordes doing in the first place.
The faction animosity is part of a fictional story. You’re not supposed to feel that way in real life lol.
Conversation is clearly not going to change your mind so I’m just going to re-quote my original statement.
The problem was Blizzard gave in to Horde whining about the Alliance racials being buffed and Horde’s being nerfed in order to give Alliance a “chance to shine” (per Holinka) but did not remove merc mode.
Without Alliance having the racial advantage, there was no reason for merc mode to exist anymore.
Alliance has not had the option for merc mode since WoD. Merc Mode has always been for the overpopulated faction.
And I report every merc I find.
And I report every merc I find.
Yeah. Not really interested in having a conversation with you then.
That’s okay. The conversation will go on without you. pinches cheeks
