I Was Wrong

I mean the merc system shouldn’t exist anyways. The downside of playing horde should be long BG queues.

I mean do you never want to win a BG

Obviously the solution to toxic players is to give them addons like this to abuse. I can sort of understand how you might have a knee jerk reaction and think this is a good idea, but you’ve had several minutes to think about this now.

Why don’t they just make the entire airplane out of the black box?

You are ignoring the simple fact that when a perceived need is not being met, someone is going to try and fill that void.

I’ve already acknowledged way too many times in this thread that this addon is not a perfect solution by any means…but to simply ignore the underlying thing it (poorly) is trying to solve is the actual crux of the issue.

Just like Raider IO gets blasted for dilluting a person down to an unintutitive score that has its own brought up issues and “whatabouts” that just get handwaved away as “not perfect but better than older tools”…so too is this.

Players, whether you or others want or feel it is justified or not, want some kind of way to track what they would consider to be toxic or otherwise bad individuals. All we have from Blizzard is a woefully inadequate ignore button. At a bare minimum, a key abandonment count should be a statistic that is logged and tracked. There are certainly valid reasons one can have for abandoning a key, but it still should be up to the key holder to decide what their accepted tolerated threshold is for that. Similarly, I am willing to bet many people want some kind of donkeyhat warning on people who rage or explode or otherwise act in an egregious manner (which again is obviously subjective).

Clearly this current tool is open to abuse (though ironically probably more today because of those wanting to make a point rather than actual donkeyhat trolls), but the simple fact it exists (and other tools) shows there is a perceived need not being met still.

Would probably win more without Horde players using quick Alliance queues to afk for honor farms.

Some sort of in-game tracking for key leavers is just going to be open to an even greater abuse.

You can initiate a vote to kick and remove someone for any reason, or for no reason at all. There is no issue as the vote to kick mechanic cannot be abused. Nobody has to play with anyone they don’t want to. Blizzard has already clarified that this cannot be abused on numerous occasions.

i feel like that sort of addon encourages community bullying…Blizzard is supposed to be against that right? So i’d imagine they’d take action against said Add-on eventually.

The GM appears to be honest when they are implying the issue is way above their pay-grade. Looks like the devs themselves are the only ones that are able to make a determination whether or not addons stay or go.

Only problem is that…um the devs are MIA lol (I don’t forsee them allowing these concerns to snowball though)

It’s interesting to me. People talk about how they want player reputation to matter, how the “old days” were better because you were part of a community where actions have consequences, and then as soon as someone brings that into modern WoW, people flip out.

It’s almost like people want to bully and steal from others using master looter, but don’t actually want to be held accountable themselves.

You’re right, there shouldn’t be a mercenary system. There should instead be a single, unified queue that everyone gets thrown into, then everyone has the same queue times. Let the game fill the teams, throw half on blue, other half on red. They could even have a toggle for people that don’t want to queue with the other faction, though that might increase their queue times, such a shame.

Sounds like something straight from a communist regime.

Not just that, people can just create a character with ur name and class on a diff realm and pretend that it’s you typing.

Post this on the WoW subreddit. There are official blizzards mods there who can take this up. I have checked it out and it is sickening. It can actually make the company liable due to discrimination.

"
Q: What reasons may I make a report for?

A: There are no set rules, but reports should be made with common sense. Reasons should be for issues that the community generally finds annoying, like throwing a dungeon/raid, excessive toxicity, or discrimination.

Q: Why was my report/appeal denied?

A: Reports should typically come with some form of evidence, and the issue must be of arguably reasonable concern. For appeals, reports are added to the list when there is evidence or a justifiable reason, as such evidence should be given as to why the report should be invalid. In light cases, admission of wrong-doing is acceptable, but for extreme cases this admission typically will not cut it.

I’m shocked you got that answer from Blizzard. This game just gets worse and worse.

I’m 100% sick with this addon, but this isn’t true though. They add -realm to reports so that is not possible. Let’s stick to facts so we can push this complaint forward without diluting it into conjectures rather than evidences.

Well I’m not giving this addon the time of day so I wouldn’t have known that. Neither did I say that this addon DID allow it.

& I don’t even know the name of the addon. If people would just say it in the first posts then it would be easier to follow.

Then the alliance is waiting for you. What about the perspective of being unable to use a system because you are outnumbered in world PVP 3-4 to 1?

Wow has the worst customer support period. And when I say worst customer support I mean it.

They don’t give a God damn about players, issues and stuff. It’s important they work from home giving company excuse it’s not safe to work like everyone working from home now (unless it’s your position to work from home even before covid)

Wow has become Wild West

Blizz liable due to discrimination? LOL.

Have you EVER stepped foot into ONE Call of Duty lobby? My God, just based on this comment you wouldn’t last 2 seconds.

I find it funny that there’s folks in here agreeing an addon like this is okay, especially if you’re American.

It looks like the CCP found a way to get their Social Credit system into WoW. Lol. Get ready folks, if you’re outraged now, that system is coming to a country near you! Have a different opinion than the accepted social norm? Blacklisted. Upset someone with the truth who’s been brainwashed by the system? Blacklisted.

They call this social accountability but all it is, is tyranny repackaged. There will always, and I mean always, be a VERY select few with the governance over who gets blacklisted.

And it certainly doesn’t belong in a video game. The power to moderate others actions should never be within the players hands.

I don’t get your comment at all. You seem to think I’m ok with this communistic addon or something. I’m not. 100% aware of current tyranic tendencies and social credity systems. This addon is a social credit system, subjectly moderated by who knows really. It should have been banned already.
