Oh sweetheart, I wasn’t talking about you. Not everything is about you.
they sure are obsessed, probably don’t see how bad they really are compared to what they dislike intensely, they probably don’t see how there’s no difference between them and those they dislike, whatsoever.
sucks they don’t really think beyond themselves and their interests, always looking for antagonists. very one-sided, taking every excuse to be involved. never asking questions before damning people, etc. just things severely ignorant passives do.
…how dare you.
As someone whose career is literally in data, I 100% agree the inherent superiority of objective and quantifiable data vs subjective data.
That said, you can’t just totally disregard the value of subjective data. We aren’t robots ruled by logic (yet…) and as much as I personally don’t like it, feelings do play some part of a decision making process.
I hope the addon takes off (though now I wonder what even is the right addon since what I downloaded had 50k downloads) because “I” find value in having an imperfect but otherwise differing source of data subjectively weighed and valued by me that I can also use strictly objective data like Raider IO/Blizzard score.
Nah, around about a few thousand+ would be the best data set and if it was causing a lot more toxicity and being falsely used then I would agree that it should be taken off.
that “swatting” you hear about in the news? those are actually all legitimate reports of real crimes that just happen to be committed by gamers’ opponents! the swat team just didn’t get there in time to catch them in the act… yet
But we can objectively critique the add-ons description based on the developer’s own comments.
The developer’s description raises serious concerns about the nature of this add-on and the impact it will have on the community.
Why wouldn’t we just take the developer’s word about what it does?
i have a right too protect the chili fries!!
/hands a tray of chili fries
but yes you get one too.
Like some kind of Minority Report swatting?? I knew it…
What’s going on in this here thread, citizens?
Is someone actually taking the side of “Chinese social credit scores in WoW are a good idea”?
wow… just gonna say it, but… 4 hours, and this thread has 294 posts. just… holy smokes, this addon is probably a pretty-big deal…
I looked at the addons description:
"This addon lets players view curated notes on other people. For example, if a person who intentionally ruins mythics has been reported and added to the curated list, their note will be displayed to party members who have the addon.
This addon is meant to serve as an additional layer to vetting people for mythics or raids. While some players seem to be geared for the task, their intentions may not be innocent or they may be quick to malding."
Sounds like it’s just for making sure the players that you are socializing with aren’t negative Nancy’s.
Who needs an addon? You can just skim this thread and find all the players who don’t want to be held accountable for their behavior. It’s kind of cool actually.
If I recall it was advertised or something on here according to some, but when I looked at it. It barely had any users at all so it’s pretty silly.
can you explain to me what steps the addon author is using to ensure the complaints/reviews they get are legitimate?
ya like u post on ur level 11 HAHAHAHAHAHA levelup get 15 get on my level
I have every class at 60…I pug lower keys on some alts.
There is no ensuring if multiple false report got through their process.
oh. well, alrighty. was gettin a little nervous about my mg characters, i mean, i’m not a mean person, or a jerk, but was starting to worry they’d get kicked from dungeons or whatever just cause they’re on a server full of some ‘interesting’ people.
