That just seems like a big stretch based on fear rather then people actually doing it.
like 1 person gets targeting for srly no reason and the person doing it is spiteful so they’ll get tons of alts from the same guild to report them and act on it too to put this player down whos done nothing wrong like ever and how they’re ruined by other players with this addon.
vs the idea that maybe in many cases it would honestly would well and just give more info on people and their personal history.
I mean if i saw tons of people saying someone is a bad tank from the same guild/server thats just a red flag…and then good reports and comments from other people? good tank!
This topic seems just overrun by the idea of ‘could’ happen rather then what is happening.
This is true and relevant too. Odds are good you had to have royally PO’d a group of people to the point where they go through the effort to try and actually blacklist you. Odds are most groups who fail aren’t going to start a literal brigade where they all summon their guildies (who also have to care enough) to go on a mass “report” spree (and odds are in those instances, one could work with the admins of this addon to get those slew of reports wiped clean).
Raider IO is objective information (albeit not inherently perfect). You get a score based off of data from public information to boil you down to a score…this score is only as valuable as the person trusting in it.
This new addon is purely subjective information and is meant to suppliment objective information like Raider IO/Blizzard score. How someone like me would use it is in tandem with each other.
So say I have a spot in my group and I got 3 people who have close enough item levels but widely varying Raider IO scores…logic would say take the higher IO score because they are “better”. However, if I now have access to things other people said about them as a person/player and I find out this person is known to abandon keys or threw a tantrum and berated the group…it makes me pause and strongly reconsider if I want this person over the other 2 applicants.
Maybe the 2nd best applicant (by IO standards) has far fewer negative reports which would lead me to believe that less people found their behavior so offensive as to merit reporting them (especially if reporting them is cumbersome to do vs easy)…this very well may cause me to pass on applicant 1 to take applicant 2.
In the end, is it a guarantee? No…but it’s more information I can use to make an informed choice.
Yes. I would like to see what the reports are even for and if they even are for the same reason.
Can I ask where they are leaving reviews? Think I missed that.
On a discord server that they review the “evidence”. Once they look it over they add it to the addon.
Galawix has been reported for quitting 3 keys and being racist in the last hour. How likely do you think that is to be true?

I agree i just feel like this addon wouldn’t exist in the first place if blizzard was helping punish players for doing things that hurt others like leaving keys over and over and toxic behavior.
My old server had someone using slurs for months with tons reporting them for something to be done.
When no one is doing anything of course players are gonna step forward for that. better or worse thats what this is
