I Was Wrong

couldnt we in theory just reputation bomb the creator of the addon and make them the least desirable player in all of wow?

they prob wouldn’t care but it’s still a fun thought

Don’t worry about me. They can flood the thing with all the false reports they want in some kind of effort to “punish” me and it won’t actually affect me at all ingame.

I run my own very small guild with friends whose been with me and known me for years.

I appreciate you being cautious and deciding things for yourself. I hope now you see how subjective this addon is.

I’m probably in the minority here, but I’m a supporter of making people have consequences for their actions, something that cross realm has completely and utterly destroyed.

As if 10000 reports on the creator will land him on the list lol.

My goodness, all this fuss over an addon with a whopping 223 dowloads :joy:

It’s already irrelevant on arrival… 200ish downloads is nothing. This addon is already dead even with Blizz not taking action against it.

Of course, Blizzard should ban these types of addons going forward, for obvious reasons.

you’re a racist. i’m going to write this down on your report in the addon. you need to pay for that and context doesnt matter right now… right?

see the issue?

I know. That was my argument earlier against whoever was arguing this. I mean yes it is actually libel to be sure…but there is no way there is an actual case because there isn’t kind of any actual damages to my IRL self.

People don’t do things for no absolute reason and everyone with an ounce of logic would realize that as long as you’re not being a bloody idiot you aren’t going to have that on your profile.

…you sweet summer child

There’s nothing wrong with consequences for actions. That’s not what is for debate here. The problem is that players, not blizzard, is passing judgment based on “evidence” than can be easily falsified. They also refuse to define actionable causes.

but i actually am doing this just to prove a point.

its a harsh life =\

All the concerns are based on “what if” scenario’s rather than actual issues. All it comes off to me is that some people are upset that if they act dumb they might actually have consequences for that.

Please, Look up Jerrod Murray he did something for zero reason and now he’s in …psycho-prison, whatever that’s called.

Dapler shared 2 cases already so it isn’t just a what if.

We also know some people enjoy trolling or making others suffer. That is their reason even if you can’t understand it.

“Majority” was implicit, but you apparently have zero reading skills.

Yea, because people are falsifying stuff to try and make a “point” on here when in reality they just are trying to find reasons to get mad about the addon.

What’s the addon name?

I mean it is kinda true. It’s called something like anoymity by obscurity or something.

Take a lurker in this thread…there is no way a random lurker not commenting but just reading is getting negative comments/reviews made about them on this discord vs me who hasn’t even been on the game since yesterday yet I supposedly have bricked 3 keys and said something racist.

You’d have to have royally peeved someone off or been a legit victim of a group of people wanting to make a point (in which case you were likely randomly said victim). Especially once the hype dies down and people like me don’t just get randomly blamed for crap just because some here think it’ll prove some kind of point. Eventually it would more or less get used for egregious cases assuming it doesn’t die to obscurity in the coming days/weeks/months.

This reply was kinda toxic. Reportable? Subjectivity.
