I want to say this before I get cut off when my money runs out

I agree. They seemed to be cursed sometimes. Maybe that should be the next expansion’s new claass, Witch Doctor. Maybe it will remove their self inflected curse.

Because you were given proof, told proof, everyone in here has told you that you’re wrong, a former Blizzard employee proves you wrong, and you keep making things up, claiming we’re the ones spreading nonsense, constantly trying to force people to show you stuff and refusing to let it go.

Stop trolling.

Yeah sorry, you believing what I have to say isn’t worth grossly breaching a document I electronically signed. Either take my word for it and put together the pieces I’ve already given you like:

“I am very certain I agreed to an NDA”
“Most NDAs have a clause that showing the NDA is a breach of said NDA”
“Blizzard is immensely draconian with its agreements”

and put those pieces together like any rational adult would do, or just don’t believe me and proceed to shut up because you have nothing valuable to say clearly. EVERYONE ELSE IN THE SAME CIRCUMSTANCES WILL TELL YOU THIS EXACT SAME THING.

You know why most leaks are never quantified in a company about their releases with the poster confirming who they are? It isn’t only because they’ll get fired, when you’re working with things meant to be kept under wraps like game development it’s a breach of an NDA you sign. That’s why most projects have code names instead of what they literally are.

You also have confidentiality agreements like you’re not supposed to talk about anything that is presumed to be kept under wraps for a company. Like if the dude who leaked Sora being the next Smash character because “Yo, Disney just got called by Nintendo asking if they could use a few songs from Kingdom Hearts for something they’re doing soon” would get instantly fired and dragged to court if they found out who it was.

The same way a therapist can get legally screwed and have their license revoked if they get drunk and start talking about their patients and what is spoken between them. Or a lawyer, or any job that has a strict confidentiality agreement. That’s why you can admit to a doctor that you’re smoking weed daily in a state where it’s banned, because it’s bigger legal problems for them to inform the police. The ONLY exception to this is if it’s you admitting to wanting to commit a serious crime and intending to. Like if you were to tell a therapist you’re planning on shooting up a crowd of people, they are legally obligated to inform the police in that instance regardless if it’s a breach of confidentiality.

Yeah, at this point I’m ignoring him. I’d suggest doing the same. His trolling has completely derailed the thread.

Like i said, no thanks.

A “rational adult” doesnt make unsubstantiated claims. Start there.

The above, is exactly what a rational adult would say to do though, for certain.

When most people are making claims they don’t have their name attached to a legally binding document that could skullf- them so hard their grandkids would feel it.

Stating I am under a legal obligation that I can’t get into specifics with you to prove it is a lot different than “Well I say the sky is green but no I won’t provide you science behind it to prove it.”

I could give you all the proof you’d ever want but I legally can’t.

Maybe engage the remaining braincells in your head for this one leap of rationality in your life. You ready? These forums were a secret, and meant to be a secret. Now, what kind of legally binding document usually goes along with being allowed to know of things meant to be shielded from the public? Hmm. . .

That is extraordinarily convenient.

Well, in an effort to save your grandkids any heartache, i guess you’re better off saying nothing, and simply having me disbelieve it all.

It’s cute that you think that they listen to ANYBODY regarding this game, other than their twitter friends.

I voice my concerns only for the fact that I don’t like leaks and feel that they spoil the surprize.

That shadowlands leak really stung and even still ask why Blizzard leaked that image that showed the expansion.

That I do care about.

I will just say I will give the council thing a chance but if the first is either incompetent, ineffective, or just overall pointless then it’s going to be dead to the community just like Blizzard already is.

I agree with the sentiment that if the councils main driving force in discussing change isn’t fun though then it’s a failed venture from the start. I’m not saying put no streamers or no hardcore PvP/PvE players on it, but the bulk needs to be people who do a variety of activities and aren’t apart of the min/max culture. Nothing is wrong with min/maxing it’s just that when it’s a focus in content then you buff/nerf content around it instead of making it or other content better overall to do.

What does a social media platform have to do with a small council for feedback?

I knew you were going to ask me that.

It was referring to the fact, that hidden or out in the open, nothing will prevent the rot. Just because you can see it, doesn’t mean it will be in your best interest. This is exactly how echo chambers are created.

What Blizzard needs to do, is re-open the user feedback forum, and stop trying to corral everyone to GD, and then opening a ‘selective’ special forum for specific voices.

Honestly, I’m not sure any of these ways are the best ways.

Letting everyone under the sun give their ideas isn’t helpful, because there’s too much to sift through and 95% is trash/ridiculous.

On the other hand, the council may indeed end up with only a certain group or the ones that aren’t part of that certain group may feel pressured to go along with the majority.

It honestly depends on the type of people and whether they can keep their own voice, stand their ground and stay with what they believe, while listening to others outside the group.

And that’s not going to be easy to find. So it’s really just a wait and see experiment.

I’ve honestly have had the thought of why they’d need this handpicked council and how it would be different from the secret forum or alpha and beta. When they come away from those things and the expacs have still disappointed. They definitely don’t listen to people in alpha and beta. I’ve been in betas and PTR. Given decent feedback. Everyone else did as well. Even important bug issues made it live.

It’s on them if they do all of this and do the same thing again, though.

I half agree. Yes there is a lot of rubbish but I don’t think it would take more than 1-2 people to break it down and present it to dev teams or something and Imo that isn’t much to expect from such a large company.

Maybe, but then it’s also missing the communication level people are asking for. And if the devs post on a few topics and not all, then the outrage begins.

It’s basically a no-win situation.

If this Council was going to be a secret, then why would Blizzard have announced it publicly?

I suggest you /remove tinfoil hat
