When they do post I generally see a bunch of people thanking them for actually posting. I also see a bunch of people bringing up unrelated things though to try and get their attention but Imo that could be at least partly addressed by them replying more.
I am interested to see what difference this makes but by now I’m so sceptical and cynical that I don’t have high expectations.
I’m probably going to get mobbed for saying his name but there is a video of preach (ducks frying objects) talking about this and he said they already have all the feedback. Discord etc already exist they just don’t believe the feedback on systems.
Legendaries, azerite, benthic, essences, corruption, covernants, conduit energy. The feedback was given ple ty loud enough for them to listen to but they didn’t and I don’t see how a counsil will make a difference to that.
Only morons of the highest degree believe the two below things:
The devs do whatever the top 1% wants.
The game is worse because of what the top 1% wants.
I could provide multiple examples disproving both, but you all wouldn’t read it because it would undermine your narrative that your personal bad experience doing world quests is because some raiders exist who actually play the game.
Devs haven’t posted. The CMs do. But that’s different. And there have been angry threads about why they don’t post more.
Once devs start replying, if they don’t reply often enough or if people think there’s a pattern or that their idea is ignored… poop will hit the fan. lol
That’s understandable. I’m going with “cautiously optimistic.”
The positive so far is that Ion did recognize and acknowledge that they screwed up. So it’s a baby step forward. Whether it continues in that direction… I don’t know.
Oh yea I mean blizz employees of any description really. Yes there are threads saying they should post more etc but every time they soni see lots of people being really glad they did and thanking them. And the obnoxious ones too to be fair.
As for optimism I am pretty much all out until they can give me a reason to believe in them again. If I k ew a different game with mythic plus or something very similar to it then I would be there instead. I want them to improve things but I don’t see it happening because all that has happened so far is lip service which we have heard before.
Idk I guess I’m just more jaded. I do hope to be proven wrong but I don’t expect it at all sadly.
Basically this, said it numerous times in the past. Ion needs to be put back into being strictly a raid Dev., and they need to people at the top who take part in all aspects of the game. Which we know no one person does so as long as the lead is a sole person this game will continue to suffer.
Listening maybe but acting in very little of it. If theybwere doing what method wanted do you think legos would have been RNG in legion? Or azerite neck required thousands of island expositions? Or personal loot being the only loot system? Or benthic having sockets? Or corruption being RNG on RNG on RNG? Or covenants being fixed? Or conduit energy existing?
If they are listening to them then they are doing an even worse job at making the game than we though because it certainly isn’t made in a way that would benefit them lol.
Similar to my issue with the education system. The best teachers get promoted out of the classroom where they no longer teach as much and have to do things they are not experts in. I knew amazing teachers who would teach 2 hours a day and have admin the rest. Such a waste to not have the best teachers in front of kids.
I do agree on that point. Feedback should be constructive, not just a place for people to complain – that’s what GD is for.
A possible way around this, is to make the forum ‘thread only’, as in you can’t post comments to other people’s threads, and ‘hearting’/reporting is removed. Make it a strictly feedback forum. People who abuse the forum could have their posts limited in said forum.
Could even have the forum heavily moderated by players, not so much to shut down/censor ideas, but to prevent spam.
But at least everyone has a voice then, instead of a council having to approve your voice, before presenting the idea further. Some people have really great ideas, but GD tears apart these threads over the littlest of things.
It will be handpicked influencers (White Knights). With people like belluar excluded. No talk about actual gameplay, the word casual will be banned from use. The only thing that will be discussed is raiding, mythic dungeon and what will make it easier for the elite to enjoy the End game. It doesn’t matter who gets to talk on the council forums, a GOD could speak on the forums with all the answers to fix everything and it will fall on deaf ears. The people that are left playing this game that aren’t elitist are more then likely just stuck with there investment. The gameplay WORLD play is boring AF and they can’t fix it.
No player council has a chance of anything positive with Ion still steering the ship.
Ion only cares about one person’s opinion. Ion’s.
And anyone dumb enough to join that council will be roasted every time they post in that open forum. No matter what they think or say, a large group of people will decide they are to blame if their idea gets implemented.
It’s a terrible idea to make them identified. They should all be anonymous.
I may be missing something here OP. But, why would Method ‘‘threatening’’ to transfer to Alliance be a bad thing or a threat in the first place? Why would that matter to the devs? Or are you telling me there is top secret agreement in that VIP room between the devs and Method that Method will be supported as long as it plays Horde? Cause if that is the case then things are gonna get really crazy out here.
Blizzard does the exact same thing that landlords do, they make up their own personal policy and act like that policy is the law of the land.
It is NOT the law of the land, that is just their own bs made up policy. All digital purchases are subject to business laws in your country.
If a landlord forces you to sign a lease agreement that stays you cannot have a dog or cat in the rental unit, that clause of the lease is legally null and void if the law of the land states that everyone has the right to own a pet cat or dog. If the cat or dog causes serious damage to the property, the landlord can come after you for damages, but the lease agreement clause about pet ownership is not a valid excuse to evict the tenant who signed the lease.
Blizzard does the exact same bs with their refund policy. If the law states that customers have a right to request a refund for a digital purchase, for whatever reason, then Blizzard will have a very hard time proving in court why they ignored that law and refused a refund.
This is where Blizzard gets really scummy and creative by adding game time to the purchase, or some other loophole to try and strengthen their argument that you are not entitled to a refund.
As a paying customer, you have to stand up for yourself to this disgusting behavior and fight for your rights. If Blizzard wants to burn bridges and lose loyal customers that have been spending money on their products for many years, then Blizzard needs to deal with that fallout.
