I think most average players do understand why you can’t just reroll a new toon on a whim and get it leveled so quickly. I actually had the opposite problem with starting in the crowded Shadowstrike server. It was great until all the lev60s and r10s started popping up in org, and I was only lev15 by the same time frame. While it sucked losing 2weeks worth of character progress in the wrong server, in the end I found a better home in Lionheart, which is considered ‘dead’ by most people. So from that perspective, I would be happy as long as there is no transfer-in to the so called dead servers, but only allow transfer-out for folks in your situation. Lot of players in the dead servers are there by choice.
You seriously want to play in a server where all the usual forum trolls play in? lol
Welcome to the forums.
Sounds like you baffled yourself.
because it doesnt make enough money, they run on hype and nostalgia now, private servers last much longer, its much safer and it uses the superior classic engine that they dont have anymore
WoW is pure profit.
This numbers aren’t accurate, Ironforge just tracks raid kills and there are very few so far.
The SoM Servers should just delete itself, already. According to Blizz, when that happens, you’ll be able to transfer onto a perma Classic era server, for free, so…problem solved!
No. I dont. It will ruin the server populations and everyone will go to where the streamers are. And any PvP server with a faction that is doing way better will have the lesser faction xfer off.
After SOM is over you can copy your toons to regular Classic anyhow. SOM is a temporary thing that will be over and done with permanently soon.
I had a friend who used to play and was asked by a site I think it was WoW Progess to download a software program along with some other people from both factions and what it does is to check out the server population and will then report to the site. The data is auto uploaded. But some counts will count everyone’s alts at “players” So if you have 10 accounts and each account is capped out, then the population will show as 500 just from that one person theocratically.
But the way his counter used to work is that they would only count levels 10 and up and it was pretty advanced software that could detect if it was an alt who logged in or not.
Some realm population counters are advanced enough to be able to count an entire battlenet account as 1 player. Others count toon by toon. And it seems as though this system is not being used this time around as I have seen many servers that show as a 0 pop server or a less than 50 pop but then typing /who 60 will show a full list of level 60s.
Need more people in to do the counting. SW on one of my servers is full of 100+ people at any given time and the sites claim that the server has was less people than it actually does. These counter rely on user submitted data for the websites that Blizard does not run.
Also retail and classic count differently. Retail counts your alts as part of the server pop. Classic does not so it therefore shows a much smaller population on classic even if it is bigger.
Bump ! we need SoM character transfers …
No, it wasnt.
There is no way to identify “alts” from data available to add-ons.
Someone should take a walk on down to Blizzard Headquarters, knock on their doors, and let them know how dead the PvP realms are besides Jom Gabbar and demand they allow character transfers or to put a limit on how many players can play on a realm at a time. Clearly these cash-grabbing pig-dogs at Blizzard aren’t reading the forum posts and don’t care to.
Yeah and Mutanus and others were viable alternatives to the mega servers until now though. We had a good few months with hundreds of people and healthy populations. Anyways, debating “you should have rolled Jim Gibbard” doesn’t help here. We need action from blizzard.
Agreed keep posting
I want SOM transfers too even after rerolling on Jom i still want my Original character from Mutanus
Coming from the person who goes out of their way to stalk all of my alts and comment on their posts. This is the 4th toon of mine you have stalked. Altsfinder addon Project ID 310188. You are tracking me somehow. How you doing it? Guessing? You guessing lucky 2 dozen times in a row across 4 separate toons on 3 separate threads over a week long period where you and only you are the person who responds and sometimes sometimes seconds after I post. You are staking me. Quit it. We are on the same server. Thats how you did it, cuz you have to initiate it will you are logged in game. Any toon I post on Ally or Horde, any server, there you are.
3/10.
Would not troll again.
Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they aren’t out to get you.
Do you have any idea how Ted Kaczynski got caught?
