Well, if you honestly didn’t bot/afk/exploit/cheat/grief at any time during your ranking then congrats. I’d think you’d want the ones who didn’t do it right to lose rank.

Not salty nor jealous, i was never ranking (1900 and counting DHKs could mess that up anyways, if you use auto join bot, beware, you may be included in the run to 2000)
But i think the persons who get rank 14 should be the ones who deserve it and were physically present IN PERSON and playing the entire time.
Same with any of the other ranks, probably mostly 10 and up, because anyone can faceroll themselves to about rank 9 without cheesing it.

I think rankers would prefer if they were stopped from getting that rank in the first place. The problem isn’t that cheaters get rewards, it’s that they make it harder for legitimate players to get them.
Depends where you make the ‘top ranker’ cut, I know of 2-3 bots and 1 gold buyer, but I would only consider the gold buyer a top ranker.
I don’t really disagree with that, I’m not defending bots or cheaters, I’m just saying people are really quick to assume.

I literally said in the post you are replying to that you are fine not caring. No one cares if you care or not. That’s not the point.
All your absurd hypotheticals about how it helps your guild progress faster when they cheat to get gear also make you look really desperate. And in fact, it yet again seems that you are defending cheating with those kind of statements.

Some people actually have the time and can play WOW 16 hours a day.
Me, my butt would hurt before that, plus i’d get fidgety and have to get up and do something.
Now personally, if i had a time machine, and could roll back to 2002/2003 I’d pop into Blizz HQ and scream STOP!!!

Id say guys, you have to put in a real PVP frame work, with actual ladders etc and organized ranking matches and such.
And then at the season end, the leading realm players from each realm play in a crossrealm ladder to determine the years regional PVP Champions.
Or something like that.
Then we’d not have something here today where people freeride it.
You’d also be able to break up ranking play from for fun, non ranking play better.

I don’t have to defend something to be able to see the objective benefits from it. Yeah cheating is bad, this is cheating that is bad but not enough that I care about it.
Lots of things that are technically bad, doesn’t mean I don’t benefit from them. As long as I ain’t doing it, then I don’t have a problem with benefitting from it in a video game. Real life is a different matter.
You derided people who care about it in your first post of this thread. While you did not explicitly say they are not allowed to care, it was clearly implied. To insult someone for doing something means you think they shouldn’t be doing that thing. You are trying to split hairs to defend yourself and and cheating, and everyone can see that easily.

I don’t even know where to begin on the last few lines. You literally are saying you don’t care about cheating because if your guild cheats, it benefits you. If I were a ranker in your guild, my palms would probably be a little sweaty from those implications…

theyd also have to see the time you spent in the match. if you joined in and immediately won or lost and received honor but didnt have the opportunity to do anything you woukdnt want to be banned for that

None of the rankers in our guild have done it, it was clear it would be an instant g kick if they did. I don’t actually care so I don’t know why you are bringing my gui,d mates into this.
Technically bad, as in against the rules, doesn’t mean I personal,y have a problem with it. Legality is not morality, but I can understand why that concept is alien to people with a limited ability to see context.

Keyboard turning and back peddling are signs of bots. That I can agree on. Just to ban people cause OP can’t hang with the big boys makes no sense.
Blizzard should record how long they’ve been AFKing and give them a ban based on the time AFK’d.
But if you said “it’s funny to me that people literally like to spread dirt nuts on bread and shove it down their gullet” then that would be derisive.
