Now imagine being a poor person watching the cheaters get rich while you are following the rules and staying poor bcuz of the cheaters.
Ban them all I say… we all know 90% of current R12+ have been cheating for months now… even if it was 30mins-1hour a day.
I don’t blame people for cheating because the PVP system in classic is inhumane if you follow the rules. In fact, I feel sorry for a rank 14 who did it the “right” way (doubt that is even possible) because that means they have absolutely no life. I stopped t rank 8 cannot imagine people trying to get rank 14. I respect the cheaters because that means at least they have a life lol

I honestly don’t understand why people care so much? I don’t rank because I have little interest and knew it was a toxic system.
I don’t get why so many people about other people getting gear, it’s electronic pixels that only has the value we each individually put into it. Why do you put so much value on what they have over you? All of this talk of retribution and anger is kinda funny to be honest like people are legitimately angry that people got pixels for less work, note-not no work, less work. You still had to put in 8 hour non-bot days minimum to get it on even the most chill of servers.
It’s human nature to feel upset about injustices. Particularly injustices that happen in your proximity, and even more so injustices that affect you personally. These people got rewards they didn’t earn by cheating, taking the rewards from those who do not cheat. That is an injustice.
It’s that simple. I can only imagine one reason you are defending cheaters like that.

In all of the top players on my server, only 1 cheats and he just buys gold for consumes, none of the other stuff.

I’ve set myself on auto walk to cross a zone, when to do something, laundry or some crap, come back to find i afk’d out of the world.

With the wsg/av weaving being the new meta, botters cant rank up to save their life now. There is no way they can keep up with the top premades weaving av with their wsg. Only way they can do it now is from account sharing.

People having unfair advantages and cheating to get what they want? That’s just life, I will worry about when it happens outside a video game thank you. If anything it’s a great way for people to get it out of their system.
Because you also argued that other people shouldn’t care. That is defending the practice.
Maybe it doesn’t impact you, but it impacts every person competing fairly in pvp.
This is contradictory to itself. You say cheating is just regular life, but also that you’ll care about it when it happens in life. Also, not caring is fine. It’s an injustice that doesn’t affect you. Somewhat unsympathetic, but fine. But you telling people who are negatively affected by it that they aren’t allowed to care is absurd.
I’d also like to take a second to point out that having an advantage is not the same as cheating, morally or otherwise.
When did I say they aren’t allowed to care. I just said I don’t get it. The origin of this post is extremely vindictive, calling for an investigation of all people with a specific rank with no basis in evidence. That is what I was referring to.
Again, it’s a video game, what’s the worst that happens? Some of your guild mates get more gear and thus you have less competition for it? You have an easier time clearing content? Failing to see the problems here. None of my guild mates did it, our server is actually pretty chill to the point where you only have to spend a few hours per day getting honor to rank up so it was ever an issue.
So again, explain to me why I, as a person who is PvE focused on a PvE server should see botting as a significant downside?
