I *used* to be a good M+ player

Which is what makes shapeshifting so annoying - GCD for kitty damage or bear defensives feels bad.

Yeah its pretty bad to have to shapeshift to interrupt.

I do have incap roar and Typhoon but one is just a stun and other pisses the tank off LOL

I’m sorry you are not finding the same enthusiasm to play. I have never done Mythics, and spend more time just doing open world content, farming, and roleplaying. I hope you find whatever spark is missing.

I’ve always sucked, so I don’t have to worry.

Ugh, stage 2 in that game was hell.

I can somewhat relate with the age part I think. I used to love platform Castlevania games like Super CV4 and Rondo of Blood but even playing games similar to them I get a bit stressed out these days now lol.

You aren’t alone. Most of us suck until we are acquainted with things. Then after that some of us begin to try to pass down knowledge while others just flex what they are acquainted with.

I am unimpressed by world first WoW players. I’m more impressed by the mid players that continue to goal their seasons without complaint no matter what is thrown at them despite it all being geared for world first players.

I proudly suck.

For healers the advice that the higher level you do the easier it is… it’s true. I didn’t listen to this before and struggled through middle tier keys pretty hard. That was even before the healer and tank changes.

The biggest change to war within dungeons… imo… is that they added higher difficulty for dps to perform mechanics more often in dungeons. It’s not just an add swap here or a move out of the bad there. You need to know how to break roots, soothe enrages, soak things, position yourself, use your defensives to clear areas…

Stuff like that. It’s a bit of an upgrade.

That said it can be learned and done. Just as a healer it’s gonna be harder when you’re at a difficulty where people are more so learning why you can’t ignore those mechanics any longer.

Dude, Stage 2 was THE thing that made the game possible in the first place.

I don’t know if many people realize this, but you could juggle the birds for potentially endless 1ups.

Unless you’re a perfect speedrunner, clearing the game most likely necessitated a good Stage 2 run of getting a couple dozen extra lives.

I just log onto the game looking to have some fun for however long I’m logged on.

These days, I don’t care if I finish content, or even really gear up. I just do s*** and hope it was fun.

Now obviously, I’ll log on with the intent of doing something and sure getting gear etc is nice, but I don’t care if I end season 1 with my best geared character being 600 or 639 it really makes no difference to me.

Yah this season is worse than any season of SL I can remember. I remember S1 being bad, but this is worse. Personal opinion, of course.

Avesara sara sara, whatever will be, will be.

I dunno, in SL I could hardly stand to play WoW at all, because of how annoying it was to do anything.

The raids were ridiculous in SL IMO

After like 4 expansions of healers saying they don’t have to do anything, they made healers have to use their abilities

The game is very twitchy atm. Very Gen Z, soon Gen Alpha.

Spike damage is cray cray. There’s a billion casters every direction you look. Defensives in many cases are required to even present the opportunity for a healer to do their job to begin with. Lots of people hate it. There’s a really small portion of the population that defend it here though.

From what little healing I’ve been able to do in TWW, it doesn’t seem that bad.

But then, earlier I went to practice and Q’d up for Heroics and… nobody is doing them which is kind of a bummer.

Dunno how I’m supposed to practice being a healer if there’s Lv11 twinks in timewalking (and the scaling is all colors of jank) and nobody is doing Heroics and healing a Normal at 585 probably wouldn’t be much of any practice.

I hate how every mob with a casted spell does absolutely ridonkulous damage. You can interrupt 1 spell but it immediately casts it again. Web Bolt has to be the pinnacle of stupidly overpowered abilities.

Heck, there’s at least 1 rare that full on ignores pets if you’re a hunter and aims those web bolts directly at you, and LoS is the one and only way of actually killing the stupid thing. You literally can’t shoot the mob or you get blasted to death, you have to let your pet solo it.

This M+ season has been a brutal grind to 2k but I’ve done it, wish it wasn’t as painful like last season.

as a bm hunter its been rough. blizz gutted the spec and broke some stuff like pets not agrroing (think its been fixed) and the mend/revive being split (not fixed). its like they wantted us to change specs or/and classes

also dosnt help that im in the 7-8 key range where theres alot of failed keys due to toxic people or just bad plays (and yet i get a week suspension for leavin said runs caz i dont wanna waste my time). but i got my 2k ratting so im happy to do ignore it till next season

I play very casually and have been feeling the same way. I feel I have suddenly become bad at my class and wonder if I am just getting older and slowing down. I have only done maybe 25 total keys this season and I feel like that is quite low. :man_shrugging:
