I *used* to be a good M+ player

But a took an arrow… to the FACE! The knee would be too easy.

So I dont know what my malfunction is but I’ve had NO issues maxing my gear and getting KSH in previous seasons/expansions.

This season Ive been struggling - hard.
I dont know if I’ve just “become bad” or just forgot how to play my class after 17 years. Im one that follows current logs and talent builds of those that push content… so its not like I dont try new builds, strats ect.

I’m really truly at a loss. Im pretty much throwing in the towel and realizing that I just cant heal anything higher than an 8 at this point. Somehow, someway I have become bad and I guess that (unlike previous seasons) mythic track gear is no longer for me. This makes me sad…

Anyone else in the same boat?

I think I touched M+ once or twice in Shadowlands, quickly found out it was disgusting and then shortly after I dropped Shadowlands itself and went back to play FFXIV.

Healers struggling this season

Really for healers it all comes down to the rest of the party and typically the lower the keystone the higher the chance is that the players are just going to be making the healers job as hard as possible.

The players that are stuck in low end mythic+ don’t use potions or defensives and typically get hit by avoidable mechanics.

There is a large portion of players that don’t know where their interrupt buttons are and when they do interrupt don’t know how to avoid overlap. Many players use their circumstantial interrupts aka stuns, knockups, blinds, etc… far too early and cause other players to miss their own interrupts.

Newbie tanks don’t know where to correctly apply active mitigation and defensives in addition sometimes make weird pulls in their routes that put more strain on the healer than usual.

All these mistakes are essentially converted into damage and redirected onto the healer as their responsibility.

it’s tougher on healers (everyone actually) than it was in the past. everyone has to use personals at the right time and things just generally hurt. never seen my screen flash red so much, even with great healers.

i kinda like it tho… eventually makes us better players if you power through.

12s are my wall. i was “fine” up until i needed to start getting 12s… not only do i never get invited but if i do it’s gonna be real tough lol

It is not easy to heal this season.

Also, restro druid is not a top spec right now so it is tougher for you.

Lastly, if you are running +8~10 keys, most pugs will not use defensives, kicks, stuns, dispel the affix, etc. So, obviously it becomes even harder for healers.

But, if you can do 8s, I believe you can do 10s with some practice and a solid group.

I used it to be an M+ player but then I took and arrow to the knee.

That’s what I was expecting when I saw the title.

As someone who did their keystone hero as aff lock quite a time ago in PuGs, I was usually the highest HP of my other fellow DPS.

Hardly ever I saw a defensive cooldown being used before they got hit nor did they eat up my cookies unless at 10% which could’ve helped healer to prio heal someone else.

Dawnbreaker second last boss was one of these. First dark pact to the AoE damage and stack up in aoe heals, then unending to the second one with cookie. Sometimes even mortal coil heal was useful. But my teammates hit quite low HP thresholds.

The caliber of m+ players this season has definitely gone down hill compared to prior seasons.

Less situational awareness
Less mechanics being known
More overall damage/deaths that arent healers fault

Its been a rough pug world.

If youre wanting a solid tank to carry around in your pocket:

Demascuss#1248

Edit: also a decent DPS that uses defensives and self heals and usually #1 in interrupts

Correct me if I’m wrong but aren’t +5s all that is required for the keystone achievement and mount? That’s all I’m personally interested in like always.

Mostly all 7s.

Literally all hardRdruids are in the same boat.
You’ve done nothing wrong.
Blizz forgot resto exists during this xpac, and have been underdeveloped.
They are beneath playable in m+ this season.

They get mentioned in every balance update. Have you noticed?
The second last one Swiftmend was nurfed to 4 casts for tree proc.
Swiftmend got a “25% buff” during the last wave. Have you noticed?
No, nobody has noticed, it feels like it heals less than the week before, and Swiftmend wasn’t even the problem with the spec.

I need Rdruid help from you in M+ - Classes / Druid - World of Warcraft Forums

How to heal this week’s affix as Rdru? - Community / General Discussion - World of Warcraft Forums

I was expecting a “until i took an arrow to the knee” joke. Disappointed.

As a healer that only pugs, it’s been a struggle. This is the first season where I’ve actually lost interest in even trying.

The M+ roster has made me feel it was an arrow to the whole body indeed. X_x. Not been a fun time.

I’ve been 619 since week two. Now 620 on 8 toons.

This gen M+ turned me into a heroic casual. The attitudes and culture just isn’t worth it anymore.

Too many other games to play now as well.

Delta Force came out this week and it’s free!
