Yes, and a large reason why most people think HC mode is stupid in wow.
It makes for funny clips when people see players waste hundreds of hours and die to something stupid, but realistically no majority of players want to experience this game mode.
Those that choose this mode specifically for the possibility of death in game, then turn around and want their deaths reversed for whatever reason makes it incredibly pointless to engage with that game mode in the first place.

I’ll tell you why I support the rollbacks: Retail was unplayable during the DDoS, and the DDoS was specifically targeting Hardcore players. If Blizz starts rolling back DDoS deaths each time they happen then eventually the DDoSer will get bored and move on, and the game will be better for ALL of us as a result.

truth is we dont know why they do it. but restoring people’s characters on hc negates the point of hc, thats the bottom line. there is softcore if people dont want to die to unforseen problems in hc.
