I think the wait is WAY too long. At 6 months we should have PF 2 open up. 6 months is PLENTY of time for us to see everything from the ground.

That would work just fine by me as well. I love pathfinder, have since it’s inception. It’s nice to be able to fly on alts that are not max level.
Yes they have made a lot of players into WoW refugees with their temper tantrum.
Read ya loud and clear. It’s literally the exact same situation for me and I happen to loathe grinding rep through dailies or world quests so I’ve resigned myself to simply not fly since WoD introduced completionism as a mechanic.
Want to work just on mechagnomes and even that is rough, so I might just unsub until Shadowlands and hope they introduce a catchup to it. 8.3 has been more or less a total dud for me and I don’t see it holding my interest through to september or whenever.

I dont get the issue with mechagon. I average 2k rep per day there in like 30-40 min if I hurry. Nazjatar I get around 1400-1500 in closer to an hour.
Those dont bother me…

I’m in the same boat. Every class is just so… not fun. I keep telling myself “Oh, this guy is SO MUCH FUN!” then I played it for a few hours and quit. Demon hunter and monk healer are the only classes I stuck with for more than a week.
my friend rejoined the game from fresh and got flying in a week, so nah, its not very punishing for new or returning players.

In Legion I bee lined for it with my Hunter, then did alts.
In BFA I did it with this character, then did alts.
It just seems too difficult, otherwise. Just doing one character, to get it, is actually easy; Only the timegate (waiting for Mechagon/Nazjitar to exist) makes it hard.
I fairly casually had it in a week and a half, or so, once Mechagon and Naz were in. it was mainly just reading up on what to do, the rep from the first time pet battles, fishing in Mechagon for rep, etc. A new or returning player can do the same thing.
I stopped playing entirely just before 8.2 dropped, so I have to get revered with mechagon and the nazjatar group. I think I’m at honored with one and friendly with the other-- so it’s really not that much further to go. It’s just a pain to do anything in either of those zones because of the mob density in some parts on top of my own lack of desire to do those dailies on top of all the other dailies. Thankfully I’m doing the rep grind on my hunter so I can just use Coarse Leather Barding and just feign death when I get to an objective so I don’t have to slog through 5090900090938402349 mobs, haha.

If there MUST be Pathfinder, it should only be on whatever the current expansion is. All previous expansions (especially under the new 9.0 paradigm): if you have flight in general, you have flight.

I finally buckled down and did the grind after switching characters three times and wasting a lot of time via that, but, I pumped it out. I was so excited as I finished the last achievement that should have fulfilled both Pathfinder 1 and 2, only for two that weren’t previously listed (Naz and Mechagon? Who cares!!) to suddenly pop up as unfinished. I literally unsubbed 5 minutes later. I have about 22 days left on it and eh… I just can’t do this anymore.

I really wish people wouldn’t spread outright lies like this. It is literally impossible to start BFA fresh and get flying within a week. Literally impossible.

They do it on purpose to trick new and returning players as if they are Blizz employees doing their sales pitch…
Think about it…Blizz would rather spend money to generate misinformation than to spend money fixing their own game…
That is the sign of the times unfortunately.

One of my guildies still doesn’t have flying because all he does is PvP. When we do world PvP together I bust out the Sandstone Drake haha.
I’m in the same boat as your guildy. But my friend didn’t have a 2 person flyer so I had to buy him the Sandstone Drake just so he could fly me around lol.
after seeing guilds of 100’s disband and talk to my friends and other guild members who have been through the same it is Clear PF was the and is the biggest deterrent to playing these days. granted our guild was not making realm or world firsts, just a bunch of guys questing and leveling together having fun. Blizzard has attacked that type of player and brought their subs way down. The fact that Classic is bringing back more subs than the new XPac’s should be eye opening to the management at Blizzard/Activision. They need to restructure and remove the forces that keep punishing FUN/CASUAL play styles.(I wont name his name because they suspend me every time he gets butt-hurt on the forums)

I also don’t have flying. I have multiple 420+ toons with a cloak.
No need for it now, I can fly in the zones where the content is anyway.
Complete waste of time. It’s a carrot for rabbits. Easy to ignore.
That’s wierd…all the Wpvp is in Uldum/Vale now.
